So after reading some threads on how "unfair" it is that some people will never get a flawless run and all the gear i decided to make a post.
It is truly and truly sad that this mentality is becoming the norm in the video game industry.
Where it used to be all about skills and being dedicated (or just being really blamming good), it now has become such that everyone will always be a winner no matter what.
And that to me is really bad, part of the fun is making the effort and becoming better to EARN your rewards.
Now you might say "well yeah but at least you got the flawless run so you are not complaining". That might be true.. but yeah i had to work for it, i did another run on my hunter and i lost on the 44th match lmao.
It is you guys that are ruining video games and are making the next generation of press-A-to-Win type of games.
You guys should accept that there are winners and losers everywhere and that it also goes on in real aspects of your daily lives.
OR are you going to e-mail your high school sweetheart on how unfair it is that she is now married to the school jock and that you think she should open her legs up to you because you tried hitting on her a couple of times but failed?.
i had to vent because this Crap was making me crazy.

4 AntwortenActually you are dead wrong. The ToO are pvp-> how good you are is relative to whoever you are competing against (and the state of the connection, luck of the draw etc). You can have a bunch of guys going flawless because they got lucky and faced just poor teams and you can have a really good team never make it there because they got hit with lag, lag switchers, baby woke up at the wrong time, etc. Worst you can have a bunch of excellent players doing nothing but playing it just to ruin others flawless runs... Im sure theres a bunch of guys there going there just to make someones life misearable. They arent competing in the ToO they are just trying to ruin yours. And people are complaining because they want the elemental weapons... you know, the ones that are only useful in PVE, not PVP.

Bearbeitet von P00K: 5/28/2015 12:17:43 PMWhen I read the title I had hoped that this was along the lines of "can't we all just get along?" but it's just another "I'm better than you, so suck it up" post. Yes, there are winners and losers in gaming. The issue is when the winners decide that winning alone wasn't enough, and they in turn have to rub the loser's face in it. It's a game. It's for fun (supposedly). But it's not much fun to try, and fail, only to have some dudebro tryhard tell you to "git gud scrub". There's no camaraderie, just bile. That is what's ruining gaming.

There are those who suck at PVP who can't get to the lighthouse. There are those who suck at PVE who can't get 34 PoE completed. Majority of the community are better at PVE causing those PVP players to be the minority. The minority gets to go the lighthouse, everyone gets mad. The majority go to the chest room, minority gets mad...but since they are minority...who cares what they think... You need to learn that it's not all about YOU..it's about every single man and woman in this community. If you don't try, you won't get no where, stop asking for nerfs, calling things "unfair" or complain over game mechanics that you don't like. If you don't like it, don't play the game. The Lighthouse is for those who have been successful in PVP LVL35 PoE is for those who have even successful in PVE Stay in your realm, not others If you can do both like I do, I salute you...

When I was a kid, you tried out for little league. Some kids made it, some did not. If you did not you spent the summer getting better, playing pick up games. Now everyone makes it. There is no sense of earning anymore. Winners and losers are becoming a thing of the past. It's sad really.

The problem is more with the matchmaking than anything else. Winning a game doesn't mean I should be bumped up a teir nor does losing mean I need to be bumped down. I think there should be some sort of bracketing so that players face opponents if equal skill

9 AntwortenOr it is ppl like u thats ruining the games. That want everything for ppl like urself. Not wanting to help anyone to enjoy the extra stuff and just want all the stuff for ur kind of ppl. U worked hard ? On a video game ? Lol Maybe some ppl (like myself) can never be good in pvp part so that means I can never enjoy that rewards from the pvp part. Even in last week trials I cant afford to get at least 1 chest peice for a single character but I never complaint about it either. The thing which make me sad and mad is attention seeking whores like u who never try to unit the community by trying to help one another and is ruining the sportsmanship of how video games suppose to be.

2 AntwortenOne day I will gut gud and go 9-0, and when that day comes, it will truly be earned. I don't hate the lighthouse, it is a great concept.

I've found the venting usually includes a comment about the terrible cheating lag switch. I'm rather decent at pvp. Went 8-0. Than ran into a lag switcher. No skill in the world can change the fact that you shot a guy in the head and he appeared behind you with fourth horseman. It's a load of crap to put a 9-0 bonus drop to reward people for cheating. It only creates more. I know call the pvp events: The Iron Switch Trials of Lag

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von The Dark Hadou: 5/28/2015 11:31:49 AMI see the people complaining about not being able to reach The Lighthouse as akin to someone complaining that Atheon hard is too difficult and that you should get the rewards for just reaching Atheon rather than beating him. Anyone who did this would (hopefully) be laughed off the forums, which is what should happen to those demanding access to The Lighthouse when they're obviously not good enough.

Bearbeitet von Dekapod: 5/28/2015 12:04:29 PMIt's not just video game industry, this is happening everywhere in daily life, caused by the new generation of kids who think they are owed something, without working for it. It's a sad reflection of our times. Welcome to the entitlement generation, where everyone should be a winner!

5 AntwortenI say it not because of the mentality of skills i say it cuz destiny pvp has been broken since day one. They tried way to hard to mix pve into pvp. Its a pve centered game and if the pvp was standalone with different rules weps etc it may have been different but they tried to blend too many elements of pve into pvp plus not to mention the severe lag especially during ToO. My group was 6-0 and i thought we may be able to do it then ended up with only the 6 cuz one friend lagged out at the beginning of the next three matches

11 AntwortenA lot of the good pvp players in this game have their skill originate from "halo".

You get a trophy, you get a trophy, everybody gets trophies!!! Except you (points to me)... I blame Oprah.

Thorn is used to snipe. End of story. A -blam!-ing handgun is a sniper rifle in a fps. I said end of story!

Gaming industry has been going the same way since MW2

Bearbeitet von hexxem: 5/28/2015 12:02:17 PMIt's this new generation of liberal crybabies. Hand me this - so others can work for that. The spirit of competition is dying & being replaced with mediocrity.

It's the younger generation. They want everything for free with as little effort as possible. They need a good kick up the ass.

Just be like me and after you go 27-0 and have all your tickets done continue to play just to ruin the hopes and dreams of others

19 AntwortenRegardless of my opinion on ToO, making end game content so challenging that a majority of your player base gives up because they don't want their entertainment to turn into a job is not going to be a successful business model.
