I have always been curious about how/why the house of wolves would name themselves after an earth mammal.
Devils, Winter, Kings, Rain, Iron, and Judgement are all concepts or objects that would reasonably be cross species understandable, but unless fallen had doglike mammals on their previous planet wolves are a weird choice to name your whole house.
PS - Due to the fact that fallen refer to their own houses by the names we use, Im assuming they use and made these names and are not just names given to them by guardians. i.e. the vanguard naming that particular house wolves.

That's a very good point and observation. I can only speculate that it's the closest word for "alpha predator pack" that could be translated. That, or, their name is based on Alpha Lupi, who is speculated to be Traveller-related.

You would have to assume they had a more unified form of ruling on their homeworld to differentiate a kell from a king. Otherwise, it would more likely have been the House of Kells. On another note the names do seem to reference the house's behavior. Ii.e. devils are sneeky, kings are planners, wolves seem, with the last DLC, to be more vicious in thd manner of scavengers. So indeed the term wolves might be more of a situational translation. This is further supported by the fact that you translated Low to mean wolf while Lowoo means space.

Maybe it's more accurately "house of nobles" The fallen translation might have meant something along the lines of "supreme upper class"

I was thinking that as well if Kell is a king why would house of kings be a thing?
