Thorn. Too op for ToO?
So I was playing with my friends in trial of Osiris and this is really when you know it's op. As many of you may have already encountered the burning bitch during your trials on Mercury you may hate it. Some who use it may love it. I was just playing a nice match of trials when my level 34 team went against a team of all 32's. They burned us with thorn and murdered us. This is when you know bungie made a mistake. Thorn is a 2-shot basically as of now in Too. I was wondering on everyone's opinion. Do you love it? Or completely despise? Or dont care what happens with it?

You are just incredibly bad. I played trials as a 32 with Thorn against 34s. It takes 4 body shots for the KO. Sorry man, you just need to improve.

Or dont care what happens with it?[/quote] Why are you Thorn whiners so ignorant about the game you are whining about? Thorn is one of three exotic hand cannons that are 2 headshot kills. It has the slowest ttk of these weapons, yet it is the only one you ignorant babies whine about. Every multiplayer game is going to have guns at the top end that the majority of players flock to. If Thorn is nerfed, then you bitches will find something else to whine about.

I actually look at it as a challenge.. Although anybody who uses it has absolutely no skill, it's fun to work kids that have no gun skill or people what have potential but choose to suck and think they are good using it. 6 out of my 9 ToO games were 3man thorns and we worked them all. It was fun!:)

1 Antworteni got smashed by a team of 32's using thorn aswel it is only a 2 hit kill if you get hit in the head n body then burn kills, unless 2 people hit you then you take twice the burn but then again the vex is just as good as the thorn if 3 people use it and spray n pray i killed a level 34 as a 32 in 2 headshots with red death

1 AntwortenIt's the dot that makes it op for all pvp game modes. I think the dot damage needs to be reduced to the point where it requires 3 hits to kill somebody... That or the range should be reduced so it's not a sniper.

1 AntwortenTell me, if all the petitions for (ban thorn from trials) or banning any weapon from crucible. And bungie listened and blacklisted it from the activity all together. What if all the pvp players petition no gjallahorn or icebreaker for raids or Poe . What would your response be ?

Sweet another thorn post... This is a skill game. Thorn and LW are the best pvp guns but they can be beat. Especially if you are all 34s. We played a team of 3 34s all using thorn and 2 of them had been to the lighthouse and we popped on them on the way to 9-0...

33 AntwortenAll 3 exotic hand cannons are op because there are no other guns that can compete with them impact wise, if the player using the hand cannons are decent/good with them. Bungie nerfed the auto rifle so now hand cannons are the best. They need to bring auto rifles back, maybe not to their original glory but maybe 75-80% of it. PvP is so one sided because all you see are full teams of hand cannons. I'm not complaining about them, just telling it how it is.

12 AntwortenTitans can survive two head shots. Even without having max armor. Warlocks can too if they use the ram, or so I've heard.

12 AntwortenDid you know of the Final Round Glitch? You can make the first shot of thorn do 112 damage and make it a two shot without the burn

I agree Thorn is annoying whether in Crucible, Iron Banner or ToO however it's not OP it's just another weapon people need to learn how to evade when challenging a thorn user.....personally I use the Invective for crucible based stuff and I get 30+ kills with the weapon so I'm pretty good, for my primary I use the Ill Will which deals 95 headshot and 64 body shot,......I reck with these weapons online so you see you don't need a Thorn just to be OP alright ;)

1 AntwortenThorn is fine but the damage over time appeals to scrubs it's how they "win" gun fights after they die because they couldn't kill you I can't tell you how many thorners I kill and I die because of the burn A good balance is if that piece of shit dies, so does the burn

1 AntwortenNah thorn has nothing on hawkmoon. Wish I had one. Was playing, one hawkmoon shot takes me down to 25% health. Thorn doesn't do that at all.
