Well done Bungie, that's another big chunk of your base players gone!
Etheric Light my ass.
Edit:
Where can you get Etheric light?
PoE 34+. Fireteam
ToO. Fireteam PVP
Nightfall. Fireteam
IB: PVP
What about everyone else?
PVP sucks major lag ass lemons. Bungie keep pushing and pushing it as a way to elongate minimum material. And they haven't included matchmaking for one -blam!-ing area of Destiny where you can get Etheric light.
Go -blam!- yourself Bungie, you have dramatically changed what Destiny was supposed to be. Watch your player base get smaller and smaller as you eliminate casual, solo and PVE only players.
EDIT 2:
Another Guardian said it better in fewer words than I could:
"Wowbagger posted:
Hopefully as the weeks go by more and more people will release how bad Bungie has screwed it's solo and casual player base and something will be done about it. Etheric light should drop everywhere were the shards previously dropped. This system has changed destiny into a multiplayer only game, when multiplayer was originally described as optional. Now it's impossible to get etheric-light from anything solo. Bungie has changed the rules and potentially killed the game for me.
I could actually live with the system if it was only for armour - but not letting us upgrade guns as well is just pathetic."

5 AntwortenIt's called getting freinds you should try it and stop being a loner
-
If you bought a game that is entirely based off multiplayer and requires an online connection and didn't expect to have to play with others then that's your own fault lol
-
7 AntwortenGrinded my way to rank 5 IB pretty much all the way solo. Definetly don't need a fireteam.
-
I'm sorry that you're either such a loser or so antisocial that you can get one of the thousands of players that are on at any one time to play with you.

I think that Bungie feels that for the game to be successful in the long term, like WOW or EVE, they need to create a community. They have chosen to push players in this direction by implementing the matchmaking systems currently in place for end game content. PoE is probably actually an attempt to meet casual players half way due to cutting the required team down to three from the original 6 required to hit level 30. They want people to play with others as that increases player immersion/participation and makes it more likely some people are still playing when the next update comes out and can create a buzz to get the casuals back in. They probably already figure that most casuals / solo players will move onto other games anyway so they wont be losing much. It will be interesting to see what the player base is like in another couple of months and whether they were right or wrong!

The very forum you used to post your complaint can be used to form the fireteam you need. The effort wasted could have been used to obtain that 34 Poe etheric light instead
-
Giving one gun or armor to buy a week is silly. Make the guns and armor worth having and people would come back week after week. Make us chose between guns that could help our play. I see a horrible fusion rifle or a lackluster helmet and don't want an poe core. Save em for next week? Gamble them? All they have going for them is upgraded damage or light. I now have the ability to do extra damage to shanks. Sometimes. Thanks. Waiting to fight shanks in TOO or iron banner. Good utility. At least raid item perks were extra nodes.

You have never been able to reach the higher light level without a fire team dope.

Sooooo little baby OP is whining cause he has no friends?

Bearbeitet von : ^ ): 6/8/2015 4:25:19 AMNightfalls aren't fireteam orientated. You can fully solo them. If my friends aren't on I usually solo up to the boss and go on LFG to invite random people who want to get it done and over with. If you truly need people to play with, there are sites for that. Even B.net has TONS of people willing to give help for anything! Even I go out of my way to help others.

6 AntwortenSomeone below said it already. But, why are you pushing for level 34? If you are unwilling to gather a fireteam for etheric light, then there isn't anything you need to be level 34 or have maxed weapons for anyway. Story, normal pvp, strike playlist and 28 poe can all be done on lower levels, and require no fireteam. If you are a solo player then staying at the old level cap is more than adequate for the solo player game modes you will be playing. I'm not understanding...

I have a clan, on PS4, if you need help with end game content, join and we'll be more then happy to help you. Add me on PSN, MRTHOMASCAWLEY.

1 AntwortenWait... You mean you have to have a fireteam for Nightfall? I can just strut my warlock's @$$ in there and strut out without any qualm or quarrel.... Nightfall is almost too easy now. You can also get Etheric Light for IB, which is matchmade. Don't like pvp or not good at it? You don't have to be! You can just be carried through. Your momma may be on welfare, but us guardians certainly don't want to be, so do us all a favor and GET BETTER.

No the etheric light should not drop everywhere shards drop. Instead of complaining, why not come on here and ask for help? Lots of people play this game.
-
First of all, the best solution would be to get some friends or use LFG, it's pretty easy should one have half a brain. And if you just don't like people, then you don't really need maxed weapons and armor, the damage level only affect 32+ enemies anyways, and since POE is the only thing with 33-35 enemies....you really don't even need too.
-
If you play solo, level 32 guns and armour is more than enough.

14 AntwortenIf you only play solo, there is no need to have max level armor or weapons.
-
If you play solo there's literally NO reason why you need to be 34. You're just acting like a bitch at this point.
-
Yea... I don't think this game is for you.
-
If you're a solo player then Destiny is not a suitable game for you. There's plenty of other Xbox games built with solo play in mind.

I've been saying it from the start there's no reason there shouldn't be matchmaking. Going to the forums is essentially the same thing but at a slower pace
