Why The Lighthouse is not Fair
Although it does take skill to play well in pvp and to ultimately get into the lighthouse it is simply not easy enough for most players to find a competent fireteam. After spending hours and hours on these forums trying to find a team and playing with many of them I can safely say it is not my skill that is in question and is not fair for me to go positive every game and keep coming up empty. I have tried and I know I have the skill to get there but for now it feels like it's out of my control. Also the people who were lucky enough to gain etheric light have a significant advantage over the rest of us. And although thorn users will deny it the gun is very much OP and if it is not then why does almost everyone who has one use it? Probably because it's the best gun for a reason in pvp. This game mode feels broken however I am not really here to discuss that. Let me now what you guys think in the comments and if you wanna be a dick then don't say anything
Edit: For those of you thinking that I'm asking for it to be handed to me don't say anything because nothing I said implies that. I am asking for a good team and saying it's hard to find one.
Edit: I would not feel right going to the house without earning it I wanna do it right I'm not asking for handouts.

Here are my tips, since I have done three flawless runs so far (four if my internet didn't crap out and count it as a loss): 1. Get good. Literally. Play a lot, practice and use the broken weapons because as much as you can complain about it, people are still gonna use them (Thorn). 2. When you get a good k/d, go on LFG and request only people with k/d above 1.5. When people send you messages, make sure to look up their k/d. This is crucial, because even having to carry one person is enough to screw up your runs. 3. Communicate. Plain and simple. Do not have any distractions going on, just completely focus on the game. 4. Know when not to rush. While this method will be different every week, on Burning Shrine, you should know how to have map control wherever you spawn and know when not to poke your head out. 5. Use Snipers. For the life of me, I don't understand why most teams try to rush with shotguns regardless of spawn. On every game I have played, at least 90% of players rush left from bottom or right from top. If you have a great team of snipers, you will dominate most matches easily. Praedyth's Revenge is your friend. I will probably catch some flak for my thoughts, but this has been completely effective for me, as seen in my three flawless runs.

A good friend of mine who only does PvP tried it with me and I found a random in the Recruitment section. We went 9-0 so it's not hard just communicate

Just fix matchmaking. Every time I won a game my team gets bumped to mlg level and we lose 0-5

There are good players on the forums. After my team (found on forums) beat Skolas (finally) we went on to do some trials. We did quite well and only lost a couple games. Had we gone on we might have aced it. Later that day I found another couple randoms for a flawless run. We went 18-1, completing 2 flawless runs for me (was on 3 for first ticket already). It's possible; just keep searching :)

I've had 5 flawless runs now, I've taken a lot of people who aren't to experienced in pvp through it and you just need a good communication between your team and you will get there! Good luck! :3

Some people are not very good in PvE and will find it hard to get in raid groups. I think it is good that they are trying to appeal to more players. I personally like both sides to the game. I just went 9-1 on my last passage, whilst I didn't quite get to the lighthouse, it was still great fun. I did that with some people of the forums who I had never spoken to or met. It is quite achievable.

First off I don't play pvp and I hate the word scrub I think it's really annoying, but I disagree with you when you say the lighthouse is unfair. Everybody wants things given to them and they think they deserve certain things just because they purchased the expansion. It's an endgame reward that should only be obtainable by putting in the work. It's completely fair that you haven't made it yet, just find better teammates if they are holding you back

4 AntwortenI disagree. It is the one thing in Destiny that actually rewards players for their performance in a certain game mode. If I see someone rocking the "Eye of Osiris" emblem, I know that they are good and made their way through the ToO 9-0.

This is a new feature for a new game. I'll never play it because i dont like the 3v3 pvp game, I have more fun playing larger scale pvp games. This does seem like a step in the right direction for pvp minded players. Just give it time and find a group you enjoy playing with and practice. In time youll get better . The balancing act is making sure the pvp and pve rewards are balanced. Weigh it more to one side and youll upset alot of players.
