Why The Lighthouse is not Fair
Although it does take skill to play well in pvp and to ultimately get into the lighthouse it is simply not easy enough for most players to find a competent fireteam. After spending hours and hours on these forums trying to find a team and playing with many of them I can safely say it is not my skill that is in question and is not fair for me to go positive every game and keep coming up empty. I have tried and I know I have the skill to get there but for now it feels like it's out of my control. Also the people who were lucky enough to gain etheric light have a significant advantage over the rest of us. And although thorn users will deny it the gun is very much OP and if it is not then why does almost everyone who has one use it? Probably because it's the best gun for a reason in pvp. This game mode feels broken however I am not really here to discuss that. Let me now what you guys think in the comments and if you wanna be a dick then don't say anything
Edit: For those of you thinking that I'm asking for it to be handed to me don't say anything because nothing I said implies that. I am asking for a good team and saying it's hard to find one.
Edit: I would not feel right going to the house without earning it I wanna do it right I'm not asking for handouts.

25 AntwortenYou know what annoys me about this? You read correctly, I am annoyed. I am not angry, or mad. I know that I suck at crucible most of the time, but I also know that with a team of my friends and some practice I could pull of 9 wins, with a bit of luck (meaning the opponents can not be a hardcore professional team). However I have a family, I have a daughter, I go to work. I fit in the time to play the game but I do not have time to practice to get good at it. Now, this is nobodies fault, so I am not complaining, HOWEVER Destiny promises us to take us to many worlds within the solar system. One of the reason I bought this game is because I am a sucker for Scifi space games. Hence why one of my most favorite games ever is Mass Effect. I can live with not getting the PVP high level equip, like Iron Banner stuff, I was already mentally prepared to miss out on all of the osiris equip etc. But when it comes to having a new location on another planet.. Thats the reason I bought the damn game to begin with!! It is annoying that you get left out of content like this for reasons like not having enough time or friends in your own time zone to play this whenever you want! I feel that a lot of people feel left out and bungie did what they are doing best with Destiny so far, alienating players. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I will quit because of this, and I am not angry at people who manage to see new locations. But no matter how much you can accept, you have to understand that there are people who are unhappy about some decisions bungie has made with Destiny. No matchmaking already alienated many players to the degree that most players have not even completed a normal raid. There is no matchmaking for higher level Prison of Elders, which means a lot of players will get left out again. Only good players can go to a certain location, meaning even more players will feel like they are unwanted. Skill and Competition is a good thing! But not if you are playing the virtual bouncer. Face the facts, the game is bullying a substantal percentage of their player base. Do not expect the people to sit and watch this happen forever. It will affect the game and only in a negative way. Whereas if you made this content available in a way that will reward people for at least being a part of the experience, well... I felt it is enough to have high skill players get high skill equip. You do not have to shut the door in other players faces like that. I love Destiny even though I will never be top PVP, but with this decision they even managed to turn me away from the game by a good percentage. I have not yet completed 34 POE, not because I don't want to, but because me and my friends do not have overlapping free time. No matchmaking means I cant complete the things on my own time. If they cant rethink their strategies of keeping players out, they will lose these players. And I strongly believe it is a luxury they cant afford forever. Its not a coincidence that HoW and Destiny reviews are so bad.

Sure, it is a thorn-fest, but adapt or die, overcome the difficulty, find some like minded people and create the fireteam u want, stop looking for excuses. *eye of the tiger starts playing

6 AntwortenI think it's just sad for Bungie that their most impressive skybox is wasted. Not enough players will ever be able to see or go there and their impression of Destiny suffers and now it excludes players. All those players that can't go 9-0 .....will they buy Comet (taken king) or Destiny 2. Will they buy a product knowing they probably will have the same issues and won't see all the game? No clue. I'm just asking the questions Bungie should ask.

What you need to do is find two friends practice together do few trials together see how compatible you are together after a few loses you will get used to going against thorns, etc. and by the time practice is over you should know how your team plays and great effective ways of stalling or flanking the enemy team. lots of practice with friends so you can keep doing it over and over again with them later on.

I'm 62-3 in Trials, yes something actually takes skill for once. And yes i kept playing to make life difficult for others/ carry a buddy or two through. Life's not fair so on and so forth.

Na I earned my way to the lighthouse 3 times on all characters. Looking at your past games you clearly didn't barely managing a 1.0 KD with your team, like less than 10% of your games. Not our fault. Get a better team that knows how to play. You can't expect everything to be handed on a silver platter. And if you are, don't play with LFG scrubs, 98% of them are trash anyway. Hence the name TRIALS of Osiris

Well for starters, have you tried out for a competitive clan? One with a skill requirement, then you'd know if it was you or not. Another alternative is send friend requests to those decimating you, hopefully they get an opening in their fireteam

Ok? Well the same argument can be made for the skolas fight. They each take skill and are pretty tough to complete. Many pvp player can't beat the 35 Poe and many pve players can't beat the flawless trials. Either git gud or git out

I like how everyone complains and asks for rewards based on how well you do and not just hand exotics out to people who contributed nothing to the team. And when bungie delivers everyone flips their shit cause "it's not fair". It's exactly what people asked for and they're still complaining. Just find 2 other people, get familiar playing together and keep practicing. You'll get there eventually its only the first week and everyone is so -blam!-in butt hurt

It's completely fair too is like a pvp raid and u get a drop at the end for flawless raider. If it handed it out too everyone it wouldn't be special

Well it isn't a one week event... So find one maybe two decent players a week and you'll have a more than competent fireteam by the time you mix and match. Myself and another A player had a guy play with us who had barely played crucible... This he did basically nothing and we carried. Now I grab my other crucible only friend and we have a sick fireteam... FYI i try to team up with top crucible players randomly so as to make friends for later... Much more fun this way

My [b]only[/b] problem with the Lighthouse is that, to get there, you have to beat 9 fireteams of 3. Mathematically speaking, for every 3 people that can enter the Lighthouse 27 people are denied. At least if you win in the Prison of Elders, you do not deny other fireteams from getting loot. To put it into perspective 1/9th of the people who play ToO will get to go to the Lighthouse.

Any competitive shooter is going to have go to weapons. Trials of Osiris is geared towards competitive gameplay so OP weapons are irrelevant you need to use what gets the job done. Trials is also a lot like raiding in the sense raiding doesn't have match making but you need to find a group competent enough to get passed it. However PvP is much more difficult to get good at than raiding because raiding is the same shit every time. PvP is a constantly evolving environment and you either adapt and conquer or just fall behind. There is no "I" in team especially in a competitive atmosphere. Trials is a 3v3 competitive game so either scroll the forums and look for more randoms, recruit in recruitment, check destinytracker, there are plenty of ways to find good teammates. I am an above average player and am the main carry for my teams but I still can't solo ToO, I come in clutch and get all three kills pretty often but to expect to go 9-0 flawless with randoms is a little unreasonable.

Not to be a dick, but I don't understand how you can think that the losses you took were not your fault. You have a 0.81 KD, how does that not make things your fault. Like I said I'm not trying to be a dick but stop pointing the finger and saying you aren't the one who's skill is in question, when you have a negative KD. Clearly you are the problem for your team as well.

The type of team you do best with is the type of team you can hangout with and throw around jokes and banter and toss back beers with, people you get along with. Almost brothers, if you will. As corny as that sounds. It's not that type of team that comes from random matchmaking, it's built.

They should have a separate version of trials for the 9-0 players to give the lesser PVP players and PvE players a chance at 9-0 also.
