Please stop watching streamers.
Correction. PleAse stop donating money to these people. They are playing a video game that's nothing anyone should be able to make living doing. I'm not jealous, I'm disgusted. I've spent the last 20 years playing video games and as much as I love them I would never let people pay to watch me play. It's a [b][u]GAME[/u][/b].
All I have ever seen is these "top streamers" treating people like shit and being whiny. Why are people paying them. Personally I don't even understand why someone would want to watch someone else play a game, but whatever to each his own. But to pay them.... What are you even thinking.
Can we put an end to this now? No more man children getting paid to act like fools and play video games.
& if you are one of those streamers reading this, go get a real job that benefits the world, you sad,pathetic wastes of space.
Bump if you're tired of these fools getting paid to suck at video games.
Edit: clearly I attracted the fans of watching people play videos games. One day you will all grow up and realize playing video games isn't a real job.

I could understand if the livestream was somewhat entertaining. I saw a video with luck lucky me or something. and he was a bit of a whiny asshole just complaining whole time. He genuinely thought he was some sort of Destiny celebrity and that people are only play crucible so they can play against him.

I don't watch streamers at all. But, to come on here and prance around with some overbearing idealistic sense or morality is puke worthy. Seriously, use this passion for something credible. Political. Socially relevant. People have always made money in different and creative ways for years... Long before video games. Long before streaming. It's nothing new. I'm also 35 with 2 kids and my own business before you judge the hell out of me. I wasn't dumb enough to spend 40 years busting my ass for someone else only to have a pension stripped away by a corrupt system, so I created my own job. That's what these kids are doing and more power to them. Get over it and deal. Adapt or die.

4 AntwortenUm. Not all streamers are like that. I watch streamers who do it for the fans. They want to entertain and help viewers. And viewers who have extra money to spare, help them reach goals. Usually a lot of that money goes right back into the stream.

I have no problem with streaming or even donating small (and I mean small) amounts of money to streamers. But when you start giving them huge amounts, it gets pretty pathetic

I can see where you're coming from with the donation thing, but some people are just very passionate about games and it gives them joy to play in front of people, so why not let it be a job? They always tell you to do what you love, and if they love their games, then let them play. And they are benefiting the world; much like actors, they entertain people while they stream and bring joy and fun to many viewers around the globe. So in a way they are contributing to society and doing what they love, so is it so bad?

Plus, playing and streaming or making YouTube videos are different animals. I thought it would be easy to make YouTube vids while playing but when it came to editing, it was like work lol. I got tired of that shit when I came home from work I just wanted to play!

They are also providing a window into games that allow people to see what a game looks like without sinking money into a game. I see no problem with them donating. Most of those who stream don't make a living off of streaming games.
