Dear dummy with a Gjallarhorn in weekly heroic matchmaking....
I'm playing at a higher difficulty level than my gear also. This is my alt, don't play it very much. Trying to level up some armor, you know? I don't know if you are too, but it looks like this might be your first time here.
No, hey, sorry to offend, but the weekly is Void burn. VOID. BURN.
A freaking Rare Void heavy would be doing more damage to the Archon Priest than your Solar penis stand-in. Believe it or not, Gjallarhorn isn't the perfect weapon for every situation. Try to bring the right weapons to the party, huh?

I get it does damage but a x3 damage is a lot of buff. To all those who think Gally is just absolutely perfect in every PvE situation, you are now a nominee in the Nobel Peace prize of Stupidity. I can name 10 different scenarios where I'd prefer a Tlord or Truth to Gally. But those claiming you MUST use burn weapons in EVERY single strike, you get the Medal of Butthurt. Use variety. If I just want to blast through a void yeah, I'll get a void fusion and Truth. But say I want to upgrade my MIDA, or Vex. Hell, just to irritate you I'll pull out NLB in HoW with the primary burn on. It's a game. Wanna cry? Do it to get yourself to sleep. Just have fun. Leap around Crucible with Universal Remote. Play a Nightfall properly suited weapons for shields but not the burn. If you can't just relax and smell the burning Dreg, don't come here to spite everyone else

Burn only adds extra damping to the type. It doesn't nerf the damage output of other wepons. So ghorn is a vary viable choice in heavy if you don't have a heavy weapon with that burn..

I have 3 maxed ghorns and my loadout was woc light of the abyss (fir the shields) and truth. M The truth on my hunter isn't even keeled and did more dmg than gally so I agree with you.

2 AntwortenFalse I have used a maxed truth several times on void burn and I still think that aksor goes down quicker with a maxed Ghorn.

The Truth does shit damage in void burn. Every time there's a void burn weekly I think "man the truth should be a beast" nope the gally still does more damage. Why? Who frigging knows? I agree with your analysis that a void heavy machine gun works great. But really who gives a shit what a random guy uses. You don't know them, they don't know you . Weekly strikes aren't hard. That's why they allow random matchmaking. I see a race to get the most kills in most random matches . So if you're doing the most damage then be happy.

3 AntwortenTruth is a crucible rocket. Gally is better in any other situation. I was part of the truth master race until my Gally dropped.

Actually the gally would do more damage to archon priest than everything except Truth. Maybe he didn't have truth.

Watched kinggothalion and 2 others destroy that poor priest as soon as he came out! Less than 10 secs!

When will people without gjallarhon realize that gjallarhorn will out dps every other rocket in the game REGARDLESS OF BURN. Only reason to use a void heavy is if you want to use a HMG, which is perfectly fine. A void HMG will out dps gjallarhorn, but it doesn't have the same burst dps which is what I prefer.
