So I've heard that rather than releasing House of Wolves at weekly reset time, it'll be roughly seven or so hours after reset (like Iron Banner did last time for the first time ever).
May I ask why? It's just stupid. There's no reason to do so..
So now, come reset, everyone is going to have to hold off and not play. You can't do your Nightfalls at reset because they'll have a chance to drop Etheric Light & the new Exotics seven hours afterwards and the players don't want to miss out on that.
Can't do VoG or Crota because the chest/wizards won't drop the new Exotics until seven hours after the weekly reset.
I guess this confirms the weekly nightfall won't be the DLC strike then, unless (and this does seem like something bungie will do) Bungie do make the nightfall for the week the Shadow Prince strike or whatever it's called and keep it locked for seven hours.
I mean, what is the point in this?
I get that maaaaybe you're doing it to better cater for America by releasing it at 10am LA time but that's just pointless? They'd still be able to play it at that time if you released it seven hours earlier at reset? Plus you're not going to make it reset seven hours later every week onwards are you so for the first week of House of Wolves we'll just have seven hours less to do everything for no reason whatsoever?
If you were pushing the reset time in general back seven hours every week (even daily resets) I MIGHT understand but there really is no need for this, nor is there any reason or logic behind it.
Every time there's some good news about this game it gets ruined by bad news such as this..

just play witcher 3

3 AntwortenI see no source from bungie saying that it will be released later. Just because you hear a rumor does not mean it will be true. If you have an official source, though, I will gladly take this back. When I say official, I mean official.

OP is retarded

Ah yes let them work at the middle of the night. Do you really care that much? Lots of things can go wrong at such release I'd rather have the development awaken for that shit

3 AntwortenMad at a video game company for not releasing a dlc at your convenience? Lmao , you cant make this up.
-
The dark below also dropped @10am PST.
-
Lololol cry some more

2 AntwortenWhat exactly is their release schedule?
-
So it launches at 17:00 UK time. Sucks for me cos I'm working Afternoons that week, but I don't see a problem for most in the UK.
-
I could care less. I have plenty of other things to do while I wait. Only no life's schedule their life around a video game
-
They reissued their statement on the exotic drops yesterday. The new HoW exotics will NOT drop in the old raids. But the exotics that do drop will be the new damage levels.
-
They're not doing it to cater to anyone. They're doing what they should've done with TDB, they're launching the HoW when they're actually in the office so they can monitor what goes on and keep it running as well as gauge the communities reaction and react accordingly. No matter what time it launches, it's going to be inconvenient for some timezones. If this is true for yours, I'm sorry, but ultimately things run smoother when run on Bungie time.
-
Um. I think they chose 10am PST for their benefit not ours. This allows for everyone to come in to work during normal hours and be ready for when it drops. Making it easier for them to respond to any issues.

You lost me at "i cant play mah gaem at the time i want to rabble rabble rabble rabble!".. To which i say.. Would you like some cheese with your whine?
-
Blah blah whine whine complain. That's all these forums are for.
-
They need staff to monitor release. This isn't complicated. They want to be able to ready if there is a problem. They are not going to bring their staff in at 1 or 2 in the morning. Ok sure they feel terrible that it's affecting your schedule. But I'm sure they also care about their staff, many of who have families, not coming in at 1 am.

1 AntwortenIt's the no child left behind program, first they start release video games for all states at 12 eastern, and now DLC comes out at 10am. If you can't see, they are doing this to keep up with children for better sales, which is a little sad to start milking the kids for their parents money.

Bearbeitet von Hippo_Legacy: 5/12/2015 4:38:50 PMDefinitely not catering to the U.S. man, 10am pacific is 12pm and 1pm for the rest of the U.S. nobody is stoked about that. But my guess would be they want to have people in the studio watching to make sure nothing -blam!-s up when the patch goes live. It's annoying but not game breaking.

5 AntwortenPretty obvious really: Bungie HQ is in Washington State. Washington State is in the Pacific Daylight Timezone So logically they would bring out there biggest new content release to date at a time which most of their staff will be work i.e. 10am PDT. That way they can monitor servers, glitches and all that good stuff that you would expect a clever company to do Now go back to your cave and be thankful they are being smart.
-
Yes, they should make the release automated while they're not even there to make sure all goes as planned, hoping it doesn't crash every console that attempts to access Destiny. Brilliant!
-
It is a good decision because it forces people with no lives to go do something besides Destiny. Like eating and going outside.
-
Oh no 7 hours without Destiny, the end is nigh!
-
Is it really a big deal? Just do something else for 7 hours, bruh
-
9 AntwortenThe raids won't drop the new exotics anyway. The raid loot tables are remaining unchanged except weapons that used to drop will be upgradable to 365 damage
-
It's only a few hours, I think even you can hold off that long
