I've only had Destiny around 3 weeks so only have a few exotics.
I have been using Meda Tool I got from Xur on all my characters (I have one of each). My only other exotic was the fourth horseman shotgun, bit you have to be really close to use it so don't use as often now I got the scout rifle.
Anyways only yesterday I got Icebreaker as a drop (Which was a bit of a slap as I grinded for 3 days solid to get the Iron Banner legendry spear rifle)
Anyways, to get to the point. Which gun am I best rolling with? Continue with the Meda Tool or start to use the Icebreaker. Or do I try grind out another 3 strange coins I need and get the Thunderlord? (unfortunately I spent coins on Obsidian Mind before seeing hype about Thunderlord, so now 3coins short)
Was thinking poss giving one exotic to each character, but would rather ask, which exotic am I best rolling with?
Thanks in advance :o)

2 AntwortenBetter get that breaker up..for crota...for Oracle's...for omniguls wizards...etc..

Icebreaker is a great weapon. It just isn't that be-all end-all weapon it's built up to be.
-
thunderlord for weeklies, MIDA for PvP, Icebreaker/Gally for PvE. trust me, i'm a doctor.
-
3 AntwortenIce breaker is the best pve weapon in the game. Congrats. Never leave the tower without it
-
Just level them all and swap when you feel like. Fyi, most players only use exotic prinaries in pvp. For pve, icebreaker and gjallarhorn are the best exotics. Thunderlord is pretty good too. Buy it now before he waits 6 months to sell it again.
-
try and grab a Thunderlord if you can It will burn through the Arc Burn bosses in Nightfalls/PoE w/Arc burn(soon to come) very quickly
-
I haven't used Icebreaker yet, but I love my MIDA and Thunderlord equally.
-
I think you should get the coins for Thunderlord. Experimenting with guns is a lot of fun. My friend was messing around with Plan C as a joke in crucible a few months ago, and now it is his favorite weapon. It is always nice to have more options for your loadout, even if you don't use them all the time. That being said: MIDA is pretty strong in crucible, Icebreaker is a godsend in pve, and Thunderlord is a great all around choice, depending on your legendary gear.

As much as i love mida.. gotta go with icebreaker. I use black hammer but im assuming you dont have it.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Unforgiven: 5/9/2015 7:02:41 AMdon't use exotic primary... use legendary in primary slot. Use exotic in special or heavy slot. Swap out icebreaker for the thunderlord as needed... Thats my recommendation. Use a legendary hand cannon or a scout rifle in primary because they are the best all around weapons in the game. Here is my favorite setup primary: fatebringer special: black hammer heavy: gjallarhorn
-
I have IceBreaker and Thunderlord and honestly I very seldomly use Thunderlord. Maybe one or twice on Crucible but it takes up my exotic slot and I use The Last word, Black Hammer, and Corrective Measure on PvP. Thunderlord has it uses in PvP AND PvE but IceBreaker is Always helpful no matter the situation. ANY heavy machine gun is great in PvP and pve but a Sniper that regens ammo ? That is priceless. . . .I'm sure I'll get hate mail from a die hard thunderlord fan tho :/ sorry guys! :)
-
It really depends on what on the rest of your weapons are. Whats the best weapon set you can put together. If you go will Icebreaker, what primary would you use?
-
It really depends on what you are doing at the time and what characters you have. I generally always run the midi on my hunter when I'm running blade dancer because I just love the speed yet if I'm gunslinger I'll be using hawkmoon. Ice breaker always has uses and should always be available but I never really have it equipped to anyone all the time. Thunderlord I have been trying to get for ages and have just never gotten it. That is until uncle xur decided to give it to me ;)

Bearbeitet von LazorWoof: 5/8/2015 11:45:43 PMI would say grind for the Thunderlord since you never know when RNG will bless you or when Xur will have it next. EDIT: I say this because Obsidian Mind has shown up a few times already but with House of Wolves coming out, the newer exotics might be in the roll right away.
-
Depends on your other primary & heavy weapons. If you have good weapons for those slots I'd go with the icebreaker. It's one of the most useful weapons in pretty much any scenario.
-
If you (for some reason) absolutely have to choose, I'd say MIDA. It's an excellent, reliable primary and has no real weaknesses. It makes you really fast as a bonus. No reason to have all of those three, because situational awareness is a thing. I prettu mych have 1-3 exotics for every slot and for every character. Swap the weapons depending on the situation.
-
They all have their perks. You should have all 3 and use them for different things. The mida was the first exotic I got in destiny and I used it but I like vision and fang much more as legendary weapons cause I keep gjallarhorn equipped for most stuff but when I switch it's usually to use the icebreaker. Get thunderlord, it's a good machine gun and good to have but I have just about ever exotic except hawk moon and red death. Get it fo sho, it's a great gun.
-
Ive had like 10 thunder lords drop for me and not once have i even considered upgrading them. Just personal preference i prefer rockets for everything. But honestly i dont see much difference in thunderlord and jolders hammer or any other decent heavy machine gun. Icebreaker is the best exotic in the game in my opinion (not for everything obviously but overall, ide get rid of my ghorns before icebreaker)
-
Icebreaker if you are going against cabal or hive.
-
Save up and try to get the Thunderlord. I found that it's best to try to get an exotic when you can. You can always use it and level it up later, but it may be months(if ever) before it may randomly drop for you. Now mida is one of my favorite guns to use but leveling up your icebreaker should be top priority for now. The I.B. will come in handy for almost any and all situations. The fact that it has solar burn and unlimited ammo (and range) makes it a go-to weapon. And don't feel bad about grinding for that spear it will pay off when your not using your I.B.
-
I prefer Badger CCL to Mida (have both) and I often run Thunderlord
-
I would say the MIDA. The Icebreaker is a situational weapon you can use at any point and it always has ammo. I use my Thunderlord on Arc Burn Specific Nightfalls. Rotate them all out till they are maxed and then just carry them with you.
-
You'll probably want to run with Mida most of the time. If you have another sniper, use it. Ice breaker is a great weapon, but it is situational. You aren't always going to want a sniper as your special. You'll probably want to run shotguns or fusion rifles from time to time. Unless you have a different primary that you like a lot more, I would suggest sticking with Mida. Having said that, it all just depends on the situation. There are situations where you will want mida/efrideet/heavy, and there are situations where you will want primary/icebreaker/heavy.

Bearbeitet von An Oracle: 5/8/2015 7:41:11 PMThey're all very good situationally. For instance, mida is great on patrol and running the first part of the crota raid (the abyss). It's also good for head shot bounties. Icebreaker is a great sniper rifle for pretty much any pve situation. You might rarely unequip it until you get ghorn, which would go well with your spear. Thunderlord is fantastic in arc burn situations, or any situation where long bursts of sustained damage are possible. Unfortunately the latter scenario is not very common. It's also the most satisfying weapon to use (in my opinion) once it is upgraded. You can easily transfer weapons between characters right from this app... or a 3rd party app like Tower Ghost for Destiny. I don't see why you'd want to only use certain weapons in certain characters.
