Would you like to see Microtransactions in Destiny?
READ THIS BEFORE YOU VOTE:
Microtransactions are content sold for money; Similar to DLC, except it won't cost $19.99 USD. Call of Duty does this with Gun Skins, Character Skins, Emblems and Titles. We all love playing Destiny, and want to see it grow and improve! Microtransactions will allow Bungie to receive more money which can be used to hire more employees, get content out faster, quicker bug fixes, and more. Microtransactions do not harm the game, they do not cause an imbalance, or give an edge to other players. All cosmetics purchased from microtransactions are separate from the actual game, this means you won't be able to purchase shaders and other things that are already in the game.No player is forced to purchase anything, this is solely to support the developers.

Most of you already know that Activision has a contract with Bungie. $500,000,000.00 USD (500 Million) has been allocated to Bungie for the production of Destiny. Destiny will be given a lifespan of 10 years. That is $50,000,000.00 USD (50 Million) used every year; Bungie has 500+ Employees. Don't let this number fool you, if you do the math you would think that every employee is making $100,000.00 USD (100K) per year's salary...This is not true. I would like to inform you that Bungie has many expenses, Some of which include: Employees, Software used to create Destiny, Servers for Destiny on all platforms (Ps3, PS4, XB360, XB1), Office Expenses (Lease/Rent/Maintenance/Etc...), Computers, Hardware, and so much more. Before coming to the conclusion that Bungie is a cash cow understand that Bungie is a Business. They have to pay their employees (No... They don't make 100K Salaries), and they have to pay for many other things.
Bungie is running on a budget of 50 Million a year. This is a game that was created from the ground up; It did not use a previous engine, like other titles such as Call of Duty and Halo. Other companies would have an engine, then improve it for the following release, thus dramatically reducing time and cost. Destiny took 7 years to create from the ground up. I believe they did an excellent job, and even though the employees don't make 6 figure salaries, they continue to work hard for gamers like you and me to enjoy the world of Destiny. Just so you're aware, Bungie has to return the $500,000,000.00 USD (500 Million) that Activision gave them to develop Destiny. Yes, Bungie made that money back in sales. But that money is going to Activision. This lowers the overall number for Bungie.
With all that said, Microtransactions will allow Bungie to receive more income. Microtransactions are harmless, mostly cosmetic, and holds NO IMPACT on gameplay. This money can be used to create new content, keep things updated and fresh, Maintain a smooth gameplay, and keep 500+ employees and their families with a stable job.
I Support Destiny Microtransactions. I urge all of you who have read the preceding, to leave some feedback and show your support for the amazing team at Bungie!

TL;DR
Bungie Employees put a lot of hard work and dedication to this game. Believe it or not, employees don't get paid as much as you think. Bungie does not make as much as you think (More specific in thread), Microtransactions DO NOT impact the gameplay at all (Mostly Cosmetic). If Bungie has more income, that is more content for you.
Valid argument, but still a strong no
-
For all those too stupid to read the whole post. This will in no way boost you in the game. It just provides cosmetics like emblems. I'm sick of all these ignorant people.
-
Bearbeitet von RdDragonEmperor: 5/6/2015 4:23:29 AMI have now problem with it as long as what you can buy is cosmetic. If it gives a in game advantage then no.
-
Well if people bought all that it would be just like COD where all people use is dlc camos and stuff and everything else wont matter or look good
-
Lol all the salt coming from people who don't know micro-transactions can lead to good things in a game.
ME3, an EA game no less, had free multiplayer expansions thanks to the micro transactions in their game.
-
If it is simply cosmetic, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.
-
If it's limited to purely cosmetic things like shaders and ghost shells then I'd be all up for it. If it started to lead into buying weapons and armor then I'd say hell no.
-
Mega bump to shaders and emblems. Not necessarily anything else though
-
Obviously nobody read this before voting

After reading yes.

9 AntwortenSooooooo a $500.000.0000 budget for game isn't enough huh, they would need nickel and dime more money out us, right?
-
1 AntwortenThis would be stupid. Destiny isnt cod so gtfo and go play cod

Warning. Electronic Arts Employee Nearby.

1 AntwortenPeople actually want micro-transactions now.
-
4 AntwortenI think it sounds great. I would love to buy shaders weapon skins dance moves. Just a few bucks which isn't shit in money. If you can't come up with that it means you probably don't work which means you are probably under age to be playing anyways.
-
5 AntwortenSo much rage from immature teens with apparently no wallet to continue to support what they love... I actually support this. I always support micro transactions that aren't controlled by RNG. If I know exactly what I'm getting, it's truly optional and it offers me a little flair without giving me anything of a competitive advantage, I'm down. Now, if they made it like Bioware did or CoD with 'Reinforcement' style packages, they can go -blam!- themselves for abusing the 'gambling' gamers. That's not cool. At all.
-
1 AntwortenWell thought out post. Cheers. I'm with you. It would be nice to pay 0.99 for a pack, like in trading cards, and get awarded a random new shader. Each time you buy, you would be awarded a new shader that you've not yet received. Gun skins would be cool too.
-
1 AntwortenYou should be lobotomised for even thinking of making this post. The developers of this game split it in parts and sold it back to us as DLC. I think they've made enough.
-
2 AntwortenDid anyone notice op changed the yes & no around. I saved a picture of this being all no early, so yea. Nice try op

Cosmetic only sure :) if you want a nifty new skin for your weapons good for you. If I want it and want to spend a buck, cool. Nothing should be more than a buck, it's not real you are paying for nothing tangible. You are paying for effort that could have been a shader option you could fully control. As for DLC, thanks for the bundle and season pass options. I appreciate the deal on what I was planning on obtaining due to my excitement. Cheers and good hunting guardians!

Microtranstions would ruin destiny
-
You're a twat.
-
4 Antworten"Cheers on headshots" I would Most certainly buy such an item, let's say it costs .99 for 12 hours ^^
-
4 Antworten-blam!- no. No one needs to pay more for this shit. They already cut content for the dlc whats to stop that from happening with micro transactions. Moron
-
No! No! No!
