Guardians,
Watch the video above. You have seen many cheaters like this one, albeit perhaps not quite as blatant.
The cheating is not the problem--people will always find a way to game the system. The problem is Bungie's (non)response to the issue. While many have their opinions on weapon buff/nerf updates, the delays in DLC, the decision to change up the end game and depart from raids . . . these changes are ones that Bungie has addressed, as business decisions, and communicated to the community. I have YET to hear Bungie acknowledge that there is a problem with lag/cheating in Crucible. Personally, I would rather hear that they know the problem exists and that they will fix it in a few months, rather than completely ignoring the issue. BUNGIE, as they say in AA, "the first step is admitting you have a problem." We don't need a fix right away; we have been and will continue to be patient, but please acknowledge that you are aware of the issue and are taking steps to mitigate lag/cheating and working on a more permanent fix.
Unfortunately, Bungie's "report player" system seems as useful as the unconnected pedestrian 'walk' buttons at intersections—purely there for the placebo effect. When I report a player, it is either because they have a 'bad connection' or their cheating was so blatant I was sure they were gaming the system. In multiple instances, I have reported a player only to have them as an opponent in the very next game. Takeaway: BUNGIE, AT THE VERY LEAST REMOVE REPORTED PLAYERS FROM THEIR CURRENT LOBBY.

Bearbeitet von Interstel: 4/4/2016 2:28:22 AMBeen with Destiny since the beginning. I have nearly 4,000 hours of gameplay in Destiny. The BanHammer Bungie used to have worked. I also understand people will constantly game the system as does the original poster. This being said. As Year 2 has progressed the levels of Crucible "adaptive" gameplay have progress from mad inducing to Rage inducing. And before anyone says I'm complaining because I cant handle Crucible play especially Iron Banner I ALWAYS make Rank 5 for all three character typically in 15-18 matches across 3 days. But lately "some" people are VIRTUALLY invulnerable. 2. Rockets dont kill them or multiple people shooting them doesnt kill them and when they are like that they ALWAYS kill you. The second possible objection to my statement might be you have a lousy connection I can. dismiss that immediately. I have (3) T1 connections bonded into a single 4.56 MBps Full Duplex connection for those that don't know that about $1,500 a month and beat out probably 30 cable modems. The invulnerability isnt the end, there the skip movements from lagging. I've seen entire teams do it. For whats it worth I turn off my mike and rage out loud but still play because I dont need to cheat to win. And when you beat cheaters its even more of a victory because then what did cheating get them squat! But I need the gear so I play. But it would nice if the system started noticing them because there enough of them that pattern analysis should be able to block/ban 75% of them. end of my Rant. Interstel

Clan member said that i should report this on it a skirmish match that I lost. But i noticed that there were players teamed up on a free for all match. Kinda defeats the purpose of the game mode in my opinion. BTW keep an eye out got the group that dances.

cheating or genuine lag? you decide https://youtu.be/6vWMgFZdnvk

What was the point of that for him? He got no kills and lost. How is that fun?

Bearbeitet von skunkiebaby: 6/6/2015 10:44:22 AMWow unreal ! Was that lag cos he was being punched and obviously connecting ? What system was that on by the way

Wow that's the worst and he knows what he was doin as well I hope bungie sees that lag switch , that's the biggest cheater I've ever saw ban that fuk

I've seen people with bad connections, and this guy doesn't have a "bad connection." People with shifty connections do eventually die, though they do glitch around the map, and people with straight horrible connections are noticeably unkillable, but will most likely move in a single direction or glitch all over the map. This guy was clearly moving in an unrestricted fashion. No, he didn't contribute to the match, and may not be directly banned for it, but it did disrupt the flow of the game by diverting half of the team to attempting to drop him and allowing his team to more easily secure kills. I do think anyone using this technique should eventually get banned, if not right away, for disrupting any match.

This exact same thing happened to us on the last match on trials , we were 8-0 .. I was so annoyed

1:34-1:40 should be a gif hahaha...but yeah this cheating s*** is getting ridiculous...
-
There's a lot of switch lagers on iron banner and events of pvp

While I agree with your general sentiment, I don't think that guy was intentionally cheating. Yeah, you couldn't kill him, but I didn't see him kill anyone either. Him pulling his ghost out was probably the check his connection. Once he realized how bad it was, he left.

soo enabling that would be a horrible decision. People would just "report" whoever was doing well in crucible to guarantee nothing but trash people in their lobbies to boost kd. It would be disastrous.

3 AntwortenSomeone has bad connection and you're pointing fingers saying he's cheating. That's kinda harassment. I've played with bad connection before. As in, I was the one with it. My router was acting up, and my girlfriend was saying how I'd be walking into a corner across the map, when in actuality I'd be gunning someone down who couldn't even see me.

wtf o.0 loool You know what will bungie do to this guy right? Yeah, NOTHING.
