Got booted for wearing VOG gear in the VOG
So I added and joined someone from the recruitment section for the gatekeeper and atheon Cp. I went in as a 32 with no problems but once we spawned in i went and put on my vog helmet and gauntlets because they obviously offer more of a benefit than crotas gear in the VOG.
Almost instantly I hear the fireteam leader speak up and tell me that he only wanted 32s and didn't feel like carrying a 31.
I responded with that's rediculous it makes little to no difference being a 32 that's like saying 331 guns do more damage to oracles than the vog guns.
He then proceeded to boot me and threatened to boot anyone else who was using 300 guns.
With around 200 raid completions I really couldn't care less I got booted, I just wanted to let it be known how dumb some people are.
Edit: my mistake 180 completions thanks to those who felt the need to check lol
I equipped all my characters with full vog gear if anyone wants to check em out. (My hunters original gear was sharded when TDB dropped so not fully upgraded)

6 AntwortenWell that's funny because my team only wants players with Vog or other legendary weapons. We will not take any crota weapon in there. If you do have then we will make you change to a non crota weapon. We was doing a hard Vog and only 3 players had Vog weapons the others didn't. For that we couldn't beat the oracles fast enough.

1. The leader is a moron for thinking he needs to boot a 31 in a level 30 raid. 2. I would, however, boot someone who told me they were X level and came in as Y level on principle and lack of trust.

4 AntwortenYeah you scrub everyone knows that vog weapons give no benefits on vog. Just like how crota gear doesnt provide bonuses on crotas end. Git gud scrub and be lvl 33 with primary ghally before you bother people in a raid! Filthy casual...

The only part that would b useful would b at Templar.not so good for atheon, I'd rather u be 32 for more defense. Why would you risk gettin killed faster just to wear vog armor?

Usually i ask for 32s in VoG because it seems no one under 32 unless they have another char knows how to run it

6 AntwortenHe's a bit bigoted for what he did but who are we to judge. He wants specific player in his fireteam. So you say he's an idiot for having a preference? That's absurd. It is [i]his[/i] fireteam. VoG gear has nice perks but it only makes you level 30. You do less damage and take more damage than if you were 31,32. Think about it from his perspective. He doesn't want anyone to die and make it harder on the living teammates. I've personally never kicked anyone (although I will want to if you are doing the heavy glitch) but if I was him I would politely ask you to change to your better gear and after you refuse I'd start it but if you die it's on you.

Vog weapons do more damage to oracles because of the perk but as far as enemies go, 331 weapons do more damage. As far as gear goes... The vog level cap is 30, so you take just as much damage and deal just as much damage at 30 as you do at level 32. That being said, I'd rather have a level 30 with vog gear in my team then someone with full crota gear. Seasoned vets are always better :)

That's when you know someone wasn't around before TDB. I try to avoid the new kids when doing VoG. Never goes well.

3 AntwortenAll i can smell is christmas wrapping. All these "32 only" scrubs. Its honestly annoying. They obviously never played pre dlc. I remember being able to take atheon down in two teleports with all 29s and now i join a team of all 32s and half of them dont even know how to use a relic let alone make it past the first teleport.

Just goes to show you that guys intelligence/ skill level. Or lack thereof i should say. I remember i time way back when we used to destroy atheon on hard as 30's. People that require 32's for atheon is just pathetic.
