Got booted for wearing VOG gear in the VOG
So I added and joined someone from the recruitment section for the gatekeeper and atheon Cp. I went in as a 32 with no problems but once we spawned in i went and put on my vog helmet and gauntlets because they obviously offer more of a benefit than crotas gear in the VOG.
Almost instantly I hear the fireteam leader speak up and tell me that he only wanted 32s and didn't feel like carrying a 31.
I responded with that's rediculous it makes little to no difference being a 32 that's like saying 331 guns do more damage to oracles than the vog guns.
He then proceeded to boot me and threatened to boot anyone else who was using 300 guns.
With around 200 raid completions I really couldn't care less I got booted, I just wanted to let it be known how dumb some people are.
Edit: my mistake 180 completions thanks to those who felt the need to check lol
I equipped all my characters with full vog gear if anyone wants to check em out. (My hunters original gear was sharded when TDB dropped so not fully upgraded)

Um vog gear and weapons are 10x better IN the vog. Some people are stupid. "Carry" a 31, we only had 29s and 30s back in the day. Ugh

Oh, the irony... get kicked for using the more-beneficial armor rather than the less-beneficial armor.

Whoever did that to you is a giant tool. 32 means nothing for VOG hard so easy to do as 31 too. He is one of those "proud" 32's apparently lol.

4 AntwortenI assume that you are thankful for not having to raid with the one that kicked you. I would raid with a person rocking full VOG gear over a 32 any day. That gear was hard to get unlike the 32 crota gear and 31 vendor stuff.

Either way though, if anyone think that anything 30/31 can only be 'carried' through VoG is clearly delusional, insecure, and inexperienced. People ran that raid with 4-5 29s and maybe even a team of 29s back in the day.
