Another post I made about destiny complainers got me thinking about all the times a game has failed to live up to its advertisements or reviews in my life. Over-hyping is hardly a new thing in gaming or entertainment in general.
So, what games have let you down more than destiny in your gaming career?
The two most recent that I was already lamenting were thief and watchdogs for the ps4.
Thoughts, guys?
Edit 1: I love destiny, and am actually not disappointed at all, just to clear that up.
Edit 2: Refer to edit 1. I love destiny, I play every day. I'm not assuming everyone is disappointed in it, in just know that that's a common refrain on the forums, so maybe folks need to be reminded that destiny isn't the first game to "overhype, make false promises" or whatever your issues are.

Bearbeitet von SwampFoxx565: 11/12/2015 3:06:45 PMWatch Dogs and BO3. I haven't played COD since the Ghosts and I barely played it. MW2 and BO1 were great but, everything since has really sucked. I was extremely disappointed with hit. Maybe I'm just getting old but, I didn't see any fun in it at all. The Elder Scrolls Online was a huge disappointment too.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Thought I was getting a stealth-based tactical shooter like in the video above. Ended up getting another dusty military shooter with holograms and a quadcopter

4 AntwortenOriginal Mass Effect. I had to have back surgery and knew I was going to be laid up for 3-4 weeks after, so I decided to pick up a copy because I knew it would take a long time to complete and all the rave reviews sounded great. Only put about 4 hours in it and I was bored to tears. I went back to Halo or something. Maybe it was the painkillers I was on, but there was so much "walk all the way here, talk to one person, walk all the way back, talk to another" at the beginning that I just couldn't take it. And the disappointment was genuine, as I truly expected to love it. Someday I'll give it another go as I have to think there is something to it-- lots of accolades for ME over the years and I know I am missing out on what makes it special.

This is the definition of a leading question. You assume I was disappointed in destiny and I must be in order to answer it.

13 AntwortenBearbeitet von OnlyAlfredo: 11/12/2015 12:05:31 AMGears of War Judgment Skyrim Metroid Other M Dead Space 3 All 4 are disgraces to their respective franchises. Edit: I forgot expressing my dislike of a game is a straight shot to getting cussed out. And yet you guys say you're not fanboys whilst cussing people out and sending death threats. Seriously, look at Skyrim. Look at it. Do you enjoy the combat? Nope, how can you? The story? It's generic, lazy, and uninspired to say the least. The graphics? Meh, without mods. The lore? Hidden in books, but even then it's generic. The map size? About 90% of it is empty space. The quests? Almost all fetch quests. The areas? All the same cave systems or tombs. Boring. The enemies? Zombies, dragons, werewolves. Man. Never seen that before. I'm not saying you can't like it, I'm not saying you have to agree with me. All I'm saying is, don't go around saying that it's the only good RPG ever, or it's the best game of all time. Cause it's not. If it wasn't made by Bethesda, it would've gotten 5/10 reviews across the board, because people will hop on the Bethesda hype train no matter what they do. Of course, this is my opinion. You can either ignore it, or agree with it, or leave a comment that sounds intelligible and I will respond accordingly. Or not. I don't really give a shit what you do.
