What weapons are worth getting from VoG?
Just as the title says. I haven't had much time to raid but now that my guardians are hovering around 30-31, I think its time I invest time into raiding.
I know CE is the place to go for the armor that will get me to 32, but VoG has elemental weapons that I feel should be in every guardians collection.
Any and all input welcome. Thanks!
Edit: Thank you everyone for the solid advice! Looks like I'll be focusing HM VoG to get the goods. I play on Ps3 if anyone is interested in running it. PSN name is same as forum name.

Bearbeitet von NateOrb: 4/5/2015 9:03:41 PMCM has high RoF but still has great stability and high ammo capacity(it picks up 150 bullets in pvp) Praedyths Revenge has high rof and great stability so great for pvp(if you played mw3 think of the svu-as) VoC has full auto, great stability, good range, and high ammo capacity Fatebringer has a good RoF, firefly, and decent reload(great reload if you just got a headshot kill) Mythoclast is great for the double kill fusion rifle bounty and is good in pvp(well it was until they accidentally nerfed it lmao not sure about now) Atheons Epilogue is good for the thorn bounty but I doubt its good for much else after all the auto rifle nerfs Ive heard Found Verdict is good in pvp Ive heard Praetorian Foil can 1 hit oracles in hard mode and it has good impact/charge time so its good for pvp Timepiece is alright after the buff Then of course all the primaries have elemental damage so theyre great for nightfalls/weekly heroics Some people will try to tell you 300 attack makes them obsolete but the difference is negligible especially outside of hard CE(even when HoW comes out all the non-dlc strikes and story missions etc will still be fairly low level) Out of those I still consistently use are CM, VoC, and Fatebringer

Corrective Measure One of the best LMGs in the game and with Ruin Wings Titans can use as a primary. Rare void damage makes it useful in Void burns and when taking on void shields. Vision of Confluence With the auto rifle nerf Abyss Defiant took a major hit making VoC once again the choice for solar burn night falls Fate Bringer Outlaw and firefly form a deadly combination. The high impact and magazine size are great for PvP. Praedyth's Revenge Firefly and void damage makes it useful in void burns and mid game content (running roc strikes, patrolling, and bounties). High stability make it a beast in Crucible with no ill effects due to its 300 damage because of weapon attack normalization.

For Gatekeeper/Atheon I use Vision of Confluence and Corrective Measure destroys Oracles. Found Verdict is good in PVP. Praedyths Revenge is good in PVP. Corrective Measure is good for PVP.

I use fatebringer and vision of confluence all the time. I sometimes use pratorian foil, but it bugs me that it is solar and Pretorians have void shields. I hold on to Corrective measure but shard the found verdict and Hezen. I have 2x timepiece, epilogue, and revenge but only use them once and awhile.

6 AntwortenIf the weapons were 331 I would tell you to get them all, but unfortunately without a buff they are made almost obsolete outside the VoG; unless they are used for a specific nightfall burn. (Yes fatebringer is awesome)

Vision of Confluence - arguably the best Scout rifle in the game, regardless of its 300 status. Fatebringer - amazing hand cannon thats great for large groups and Arc shielded enemies. Praedyth's Timepiece - a great, stable pulse rifle made even better by the recent buff. Atheons Epilogue - actually a solid and fairly stable auto rifle, but not spectacular. Good for void burn and Thorn bounty. Praetorian Foil - top tier fusion rifle, probably [i]the[/i] best gun for oracles. Praedyth's Revenge - great sniper rifle, stable, high RoF, large mag, great scopes. Brilliant in Crucible. Found Verdict - One of the best shotguns for Crucible. Corrective Measure - Still a great machine gun especially for VoG, and Crucible due to its huge ammo capacity. Hezen Vengeance - although not a tracking rocket launcher it packs a punch and drops clusters!

Praedith's Revenge is an outstanding PvP sniper rifle. I rarely use shotguns, but Found Verdict seems to be very popular in Crucible. Atheon's Epilogue is great for Voidburn activities. Corrective Measure is a great all around LMG, though I tend to prefer the Swarm/Jolder's Hammer archetype. It goes without saying that Vex Mythoclast and Fate Bringer are both excellent weapons. Lots of good reasons to run VoG. It's a shame that the armor is obsolete.

I dont care what anyone else says, they are all trophies except corrective measure. Vision of confluence and epilogue are good for oracles but other than that theyre junk. Fatebringer is good for screwing around on patrols. Found verdict is ok for pvp but imo the secret handshake from vendor is a better arc damage shotgun, it comes with hammer forged and shot package. The sniper is good for pvp. The praetorian foil ive honestly never used. Hezen vengeance is 100% outclassed by hunger of crota. Dont get your hopes up for any of the VoG weapons. [spoiler]theres a reason once a week someone posts asking bungie to make VoG weapons viable again[/spoiler]
