Why is thorn considered a noob weapon?
It takes two 3 headshots to kill. What's wrong with the user using the weapons exotic perk? If that's the reason it's nobody then Hawkmoon is nooby, gjallarjorn is nooby, every exotic weapon is nooby. I don't see why there is all the hate.
Edit 1: Wow 130 replies!
Edit 2: Some people say it's nooby and I can see how they can think that. But it is an exotic and it's a little hard to get. Also 330 relies!

its not that its nooby, it is the after burn that gets me annoyed but i sometimes tend to survive it which is sweet, i have a thorn but i dont use it cause im not a handcannon fan no more, and im leaning towards the auto rifle again with the Necrochasm

4 AntwortenI think its mostly due to the way people play with. You can hit some one with thorn twice and disengage and run away and the DoT will end up killing the person.

Fast firerate and it kills in 2 headshots. All you have to do is catch someone by surprise and they are pretty much dead.

Getting it is hard, but using it isn't.

3 AntwortenIt's very simplistic to use. I just counter it with my SUROS Regime. It beats Thorn's range, and my bullets heal me, so he can't kill me after death with poison.

2 AntwortenYeah, I think a lot of people are coming from CoD and such (where there are no RPG elements) and so they instantly hate on the idea of certain weapons being better than others, despite these weapons being harder to get and level up. Most people come from an FPS background rather than an MMO or RPG background. I for one played both before Destiny so I don't have much trouble with Exotics being worthy of their title and status.

1 AntwortenI always laugh at this argument because everyone wanted thorn to be buffed and now they complain that the thing is op. Thorn was fine the way it was before the exotic patch.

1 AntwortenIt used to take skill and I avidly used it before the buff. Now that it's 9 rounds per reload, reload speed is way faster, and it's stability got improved, it just feels wrong when I kill people with it.

2 AntwortenHave had thorn since November, it use to take some skill to use it after the weapon the majority of thorn users are body shot spamming noobs, that's why it's seen as a nooby weapon.

I'm no noob, and I'm not great a PvP. I just started using Thorn and its a blast. If you use it you either have to get good with it or prepare to get tea bagged a lot!
