Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? That if THIS is Bungie's answer to our vault space problem (and boy do they sound satisfied) that HoW is basically dead out of the gate?
How could they possibly think this is a great idea? It's like they don't even play their own game...
We need FAR more space! Where do they expect us to put our shaders?!
Update 1:
I've been reading the responses below and I just gotta say, "wow...." There are some seriously blinded fanboys out there amongst us... Their answer to our disappointment to this update? Know what it is?
1. "It's your fault. Stop hoarding!"
Uhh...ok...loot based/driven game....why wouldn't we keep our guns and armor we love? I'm not going to delete my VoG helm to make your precious Bungie not have to actually address a REAL problem.
2. "1+2=3?! Half life 3 confirmed! The update gives you tons of more space! This is awesome! Yay!"
Ummmm...no. This won't even cover the things I want to store RIGHT NOW. Shaders anyone?! Can't wait to be able to store 4 more of those....
Update 2:
There's a few confused individuals in this thread.
It's because he's a troll in a legit OP's clothing. Everything he wrote screams "come fight me" while failing to make a single, rational argument for any of his opinions.
Uhhhh....o....k....
OP's rational argument: this is not an efficient update to the vault as the space added does little to alleviate the lack of space that users are currently experiencing.
Is that better or do you require more context clues as well?

There going for the "Flawless" Gameplay rather than "Flawless Happiness" I hope you all know the PS3 and Xbox360 cant run more than I think 84 icons on a screen at a time, creating the issue where they cant view statistics after this update. If I produced this: Make 4 tabs -Armor -Weapons -Materials -Misc And make it 75 slots per tab Im not going to say "You dun -blam!-ed up because they did promise another vault update and this is only temporary. Im glad I can fill this up with every exotic now and still have around 10 slots

3 AntwortenBe happy we get any additional vault space.

Bearbeitet von Dominus Mentis: 4/2/2015 10:41:45 PMThe reason they gave us the space they did is cause limited memory. The old gen are going off the same memory and this drastically reduced the amount of space they could add.

I agree, we need more space

4 AntwortenI agree it was done literally the easiest way possible. Followed by bungie's self praise lmao. I really hope something good takes me away from this. I spend just as much time hating this throng wrong with the game as playing and enjoying what I can out of it. The biggest issue it literally bungie acts as though it's a difficult thing to do when it really isn't. I'd rather have them be completely honest "we really don't care that much about destiny. We have afew teams dedicated to the upcoming DLCs but other than that we are focused on Destiny 2. We have taken all of the things we learned to date but will be applying them to future content not the current, deal with it." May as well what they are saying to us.

4 AntwortenBungie didn't have to add more to one page. A friend of mine had this idea: there's 3 vault columns in the tower. Instead of each one showing the same inventory, have 1 weapon column, 1 armor column, and 1 general column. If you watch the vault now, people always run to the same access points. The one facing the gunsmith rarely gets traffic. This idea would actually make players check every vault column, and give us 60 spaces per vault.

5 AntwortenI Just Think That Bungie Is Just Massively Incompetent As A Whole, And Will Likely Continue To Be For Some Time.
-
Wait till you see how much vault space is in Destiny 4. To wet your appetite... You will be able to store a whole planet. True story.
-
They should make bags to put in our inventory spaces. Like make the vendors sell the bags for like 10 to 20 strange coins.
-
Bungie already said they will give the vault more room in the future. For now, this is enough to hold every exotic gun in the game, so i'm good.
-
4 AntwortenYou do know that it is the Xbox 360 and PS3's crappy hardware holding it back right? I'm on 360 and I can tell you that it takes like 20 seconds just to load your inventory. I'm looking forward to the vault space update, but I'm not looking forward to my Xbox exploding. :P

I heard it was because of the older gen consoles. Could've been bs on their part though.

I'm just as much of a packrat as the next person, but we have been managing this long. Do I like or do I think this is the answer? No, I don't. It is, however more than we had before. I will fill it as soon as it comes out, but extra room is extra room.

1 AntwortenNo one cares

13 AntwortenWTF!?! Who actually stores shaders in the Vault? Seriously!?!
-
7 AntwortenWow. This thread is unbelievable. "Its Bungie's fault for not knowing I would want 1,000,000 vault spaces so I can hold extra stuff. Seriously, I need 3 of everything! Even weapons I don't like anymore because they MIGHT have trading someday or they MIGHT rebuff AR." "Its last Gens fault for not being able to handle the memory. And it was a huge mistake to release this game on last Gen because of its shortcomings compared to New Gen." Look in the mirror. You are part of this problem. Do you need 3 need Suros? Or 3 praedyth revenge? If you don't use anymore, then NO. Most weapons are situational. So it shouldn't be a big deal to swap them when that situation arises. Now with the app function you can bypass the tower and switching salts (albeit with some risk, as others have reported) I'm not looking to give Bungie a free pass, we've all discussed alternate ways of handling this. Ps3 handled games like skyrim just fine, so this shouldn't be much harder. Also, they started working on this game BEFoRE ps4 was released and heck it was still in design stages, meaning making it current Gen only would mean millions lost in sales.

1 AntwortenLol. You -blam!-in skrubs have no idea how coding works at all.

650+ replies! Wow! Nobody builds a game without intelligence...then again, Bungie has gotten pretty far without it."

well its bungie logic, we ask for more vault space, they gives us like +~35% of the current vault space when what we needed is actually at least a + 1000% increase and they proceed to say how they are listening to the community and shit when they are not even trying we should be happy if we dont have our vaultspece decreased due to a bug if memory was the problem then why dont the take out of the game the queens brother or the speaker , they have no story value anyway they never listened to the community and this is the last proof i needed to know that they are never going to listen anyway truth is the "guy that enjoyed destiny" inside me died when bungie decided to make us have to regrind everything when tdb came out ,i was thinking of coming back to this game when how came out, after this excuse for an update though i am not so sure anymore
-
2 AntwortenI agree with u. But yeah there are too many fanboys that are keeping Bungie afloat
-
5 AntwortenOkay i agree it would be better if they gave more vault space, but how does that kill HoW?
