Thorn bounty waaaay too hard for this bad pvp player
Stuck at 99 out of 500 all day can't seem to make any progress. Have atheons epilogue void shotgun and maxed corrective measure...been at this bounty for two days...suggestions? Thoughts? Give up and abandon the bounty?
Edit: thanks to everyone who offered tips and instruction for my bad PVP skills thanks to some new friends I made this morning and to my new clan the Lucky Bullet Club for playing control with me and helping me get the 500!!!! Bring on Xyor!! Thanks everybody!!

Mate I did it yesterday. Took me 5 hours. I'm awful at the game. What consol u on. I'll play rumble and let u kill me if u want. It's a killer

3 AntwortenI know how you feel. I played about 10 matches of controll and got to about 200 points and within 2 more matches I was back at 0. It wouldnt be so bad if it couldnt take away from your points..

14 AntwortenWelcome to the club.... I too am in the same boat... except I only have 4 points towards my 500.... it's never gonna happen for me. I laugh when people tell me the Word of Crota makes it easier... Ummmm no it doesn't. I have that gun as well and I still stink. The problem is not knowing the maps inside out like all the serious PvP players do... it's like a lamb to the slaughter.... I might as well be wearing a bell around my neck announcing dinner is about ready for the wolves :/ I swear Bungie STINKS at matchmaking too... no idea why they don't do a better job of matching us by k/d so we don't get put up against players we don't stand a chance against.

The gun isn't meant for PvP anyway so if your bad at PvP your not missing anything

Find a void sniper rifle (I used Praedyths Revenge) and go play Combined Arms when the playlist is available. Snipe and try to stay alive. Finished the bounty is 4 hours this way.

Play control, [b]stay with team[/b], and kills are worth 5, death (-2). Keep that K/D about around 1 and you'll be done quickly.

1 AntwortenI honestly think that thorns bounty made me better at PvP, you just have to find the style that works for you. I used the I Protest shotgun and the Harms Way heavy and patrolled between two zones on control.

When I did mine the first time fusion rifles had a broken range so you could basically use them as primaries ( I've always hated the epilogue in PvP ) bit if I was doing it now I'd probably say sit back with a sniper and don't give up you'll get there

Don't give up guardian. If you are getting owned,leave the match. If you get frustrated, take a crucible break. If you have any friends you play with team up with them and have em watch your back. I'm on my third thorn bounty.. Glutton for crucible punishment I suppose.

1 AntwortenAt least you're a hunter...I sucked too but play control, crouch, gain invisibility, then run as fast as you can toward the action...if you did it right you will not have been on their radar prior and will come out of nowhere...shotgun them or just use the early advantage to get ahead in a 1v1 gunfight. Its cheap but you'll get better...and take off blink. Not only does it negate your invisibility, if you're not really good at PvP I guarantee its hurting more than helping.

Just keep at it. You can only get better from playing over and over and over again. Take some tips from pro's, watch some Youtube vids, get good at sniping, just sit in a hole and shotgun fools, space magic.

Easiest way for me to do it was Void Sniper. It puts you in less danger and you can get easy assists if you don't kill them.

At least you have Atheons! I suck at pvp and have been doing it without a void primary. Took me forever to get up to 200 then Iron banner rolled around and I got recked the first day on there. Took me all the way back to 0. Made it all the way back up to 400 in Iron Banner but haven't logged since Monday. Just be very patient I used Two For The Morgue crucible shotgun and a void heavy machine gun. If you can get get 10 void kills a game that is 50 points. 10 deaths the same game you would still be gaining 30 per match. The trick is to seriously slow down and not run in wild for every kill. Take your time. Dying a couple times trying to get one void kill just isn't worth it. Just my 2 cents.
