When I do play as my titan I do save my super for better opportunities. For instance, when I see a wormy little arc blader lolllll

Or Titan bubbles...I save supers for both.

I prefer my hunter but I've had the opportunity to watch a Bladedancer pop his/her super on my Titan. Then Fist of Havoc them into oblivion.
