How to instantly tell when someone doesn't have Gally:
"Gjallarhorn isn't that great. I'd rather use another exotic."
EDIT 1: Stop saying it's situational. What gun isn't? I never said I use mine for everything. This post was for the kids who knock it before trying it.
EDIT 2: I never said Gally was required for Crota either. If you use a legendary, congratulations. You can successfully aim a rocket launcher and pull the trigger. I personally despise the people who "require" Gjallarhorn for Crota.
EDIT 3: 800+ Replies! Keep 'em coming. Feel free to tell me my OPINION is wrong as well. I've grown accustomed to it due to these forums.

4 Antwortendon't eat me alive for saying this or not having the horn, but i think that hanging so religiously on to a single gun is kind of close minded. i mean i get kicked out of crota raids for not having it, cause i havent been blessed/cursed by RNGesus. i dont understand why its the cause of such controversy because there are other launchers out there that can do a pretty good job dropping crota as well. i know im going to get hate out of my ass for typing this, but i think that my hezen vengeance is just about good enough, i mean if you aim for the feet rather than his face then you have a smaller chance of missing and sending ammo into the pit

I have a gally but, it's just not fun using it. It's more like activating easy mode, I would rather use my red death and hardlight

I have one on each character, and i would rather use another exotic. Gjallarhorn is great, but loses out for me against the ice breaker.

I'd definitely use one if I had it. But I really do like hunger though. I think I'd still use it more since it packs a good punch and I can still use suros or patience and time. Oh gally why won't you drop for me? :/

10 Antwortenyeah tbh, as long as your rocket has tracking its not too bad for crota. I havent yet done hard mode but i can see it being really a requirement that at least two people have a gjally. "Truth" is pretty damn good as a replacement since it has a 3 round mag (Although mine says it has 2? bug?) and never freaking misses.

The better weapons my friends have, the better we'll do as a team. I really only use Gally for bosses though, if not, I'll just use Hunger of Crota. It's a baby ghorn.

I have a Gjallerhorn and I say this on a regular basis. Hard Crota and solar burn are the only time mine gets used.

I have a Ghally and I don't use it as much I use it when I can I have the icebreaker which can be used in most situations so idk. Just unlocked Wolfpack rounds

I don't have one on my account but I've used it plenty of times on my brothers account.. It's cool and all but I do prefer other exotics .. Thunderlord for atheon, and red death /hoc for Crota.. And for strikes I used trashcasm cause I like the mini explosions o.O but not taking nothin from the g horn it's the best exotic just rather not use my slot for it

I got my gally last reset and maxed it and what not. It's definitely not what it was hyped up to be. I mean it's great for crota, and decent for strikes but since I still can't get the damn black hammer I rather use the ice breaker and hoc set up.
