How to instantly tell when someone doesn't have Gally:
"Gjallarhorn isn't that great. I'd rather use another exotic."
EDIT 1: Stop saying it's situational. What gun isn't? I never said I use mine for everything. This post was for the kids who knock it before trying it.
EDIT 2: I never said Gally was required for Crota either. If you use a legendary, congratulations. You can successfully aim a rocket launcher and pull the trigger. I personally despise the people who "require" Gjallarhorn for Crota.
EDIT 3: 800+ Replies! Keep 'em coming. Feel free to tell me my OPINION is wrong as well. I've grown accustomed to it due to these forums.

2 AntwortenThe amount of threads on this site saying 'gjallarhorn isn't that great' is quite funny as whoever posts it 99% if the time doesn't have one. The rest of the time they are just being a hipster. The fact is that gjallarhorn is over twice as powerful as any other rocket launcher in the game. It's only drawbacks are that it takes you exotic slot, and using an exotic heavy is not always ideal. Then again if you have all the raid weapons (most of which are better than exotic primary's and specials) the gjallarhorn can happily be your go to exotic.

18 AntwortenBearbeitet von lMGPl_Mister_K: 3/17/2015 8:40:19 AMIt's funny cause I have it, and I think that it isn't that special, it has very very limited uses, where as other exotics for many roles, the ice breaker can do pvp, raids, and strikes, same with read death, Suros, thorn, pretty much every other -blam!-ing exotic except maybe no land beyond has more than 1 place it's Useful, but the gjallarhorn is only useful in raids and maybe the occasional strike, and even then it's not really worth using because another gun could get the job Done just as easily, I despise you people who defend it religiously, it is a useful asset yes, but it's not like it's The best gun in the game, red death and bad juju are the best right now actually

People don't know or are simply being stupid. Ghorn is a monster!!! It hits harder then any gun period. It's the best heavy hands down.

23 AntwortenGhorn is by no way situational lol. It is better then any other heavy in all situations (bosses, Nightfalls, pvp etc). Sure ppl prefer you to use IB and Hammer on Atheon which makes perfect sense. But those are snipers not heavy. Ghorn is the "almighty" except it, grind endlessly for it, then own everything like a boss! And yes I'm saying a solar burn ghorn is better then your truth in a void nightfall and in pvp. Yep I said it.

Gajlhorn is not that great would rather use a primary or special exotic. I have it and heavy weapons don't see enough use warrant them eating my single exotic spot. The only exception is Crota other than that running Bad Juju, red death, IB, thunderlord (can be fired nearly like a primary so it gets a pass), hell even plan C is fun. A rocket is a damn rocket pull it out blow up something move on.

I have 3 ghorn. Still will say those exact words when doing hard mode on my hunter. Red death works better on my hunter.

1 AntwortenI only use my gjallarhorn in these situations: CE deathsinger CE crota when Im not the swordbearer Omnigul Black Garden strike at the stairs to take out the minotaurs VoG gatekeepers Sometimes at a mission I want to rush through and have plenty of heavy ammo like the wakening or rasputin on heroic.

Asking who has Ghorn on hard mode Croat and 3 people say I do and the. You jut hear mumbling because they are talking to themselves how much bullshit it is they don't have one.

1 AntwortenI've had it since November and gotta say that I don't use it much. I run the icebreaker most of the time since it is more useful overall . There's times I'll switch to gjally.... But i don't believe it lives up to the massive hype that it gets.

2 AntwortenGjallarhorn is the second or third best gun in the game. It is the best heavy for sure. It is the biggest difference maker for a single high health enemy for sure. I think hawkmoon and black hammer are better. Maybe I should say "more serviceable" than "better" I just got red death (like a lot of people) and haven't unlocked "red death" (like a lot of people) but if it works like I think it does, it would be right up there too.

1 AntwortenDon't care about ghorn. With my raidteam, we kick everyone who doesn't have hawkoom equipped all the time. We are the hawkmooners. Other weapons i don't care. Take whatever you want.

But I would rather use a different exotic. I mainly only use mine for crota due to people being all picky about what you use.

4 Antwortendon't eat me alive for saying this or not having the horn, but i think that hanging so religiously on to a single gun is kind of close minded. i mean i get kicked out of crota raids for not having it, cause i havent been blessed/cursed by RNGesus. i dont understand why its the cause of such controversy because there are other launchers out there that can do a pretty good job dropping crota as well. i know im going to get hate out of my ass for typing this, but i think that my hezen vengeance is just about good enough, i mean if you aim for the feet rather than his face then you have a smaller chance of missing and sending ammo into the pit
