This is a pretty impressive use of game mechanics, but I'm not sure if this counts legit or cheese. You used the self res to stop yourself from getting teleported, so it is at very least an exploit (like hiding under the stairs in Cerberus Vae or throwing grenades to push the Templar off the cliff). It is in the grey area, but good job either way.
