All of these naysayers... Contrary to popular belief, one extra golden gun shot is hardly useful, it does less damage than Icebreaker. I have no qualms with Mask of the Third Man, it is like the HotPF of Hunters. Knucklehead Radar is a fantastic helm. It enables you to win most engagements in PvP simply by being able to ADS sooner than the other guy when coming around corners or other objects. In PvE, it once again allows you to shoot quicker before your enemies get a shot off. Most importantly, when you are already shooting an enemy, it makes so that you're never snuck up on from behind by a cursed thrall or such. Contrary to popular belief, Knucklehead Radar is seldom sold; last time was one week after Dark Below: 2 and a half months ago. All that said, Red Death is absolutely necessary for Crota's End Hard, unless you have armor that regenerates health through orbs. If possible, get both. Hunter Helm's are seldom sold by Xur, especially one of the two (3 if you count Symbiote) good ones. Red Death is excellent, however, and you can roll your luck with a Helmet Engram. It shouldn't be an easy choice, but go with Red Death.

You could also use a fully upgraded suros in the hard raid. Just kill some thrall while you're out on the middle platform and you'll heal.

I opted for Red Death and Skullfront and 2 engrams. I got Knuckle Head and Obsidian Mind from the engrams. Win Win, Win, Win.

Knucklehead is cool. I liked using it, but look at it this way. You have two chances to get it every week (engram) and weekly xur armor. Red Death seldom comes up. Good weapons are a premium from Jupiter.

I dont have Knucklehead, and i already have a Red Death, but im going to buy 2 more Red Deaths so all 3 characters will have one and gonna spend the rest of my coins on.... you guessed it, good ole Heavy Synths.

I'm with you. It's too easy to move items via the app now and I don't care to waste my time grinding 3 exotics to max.

It's a amazing gun and I like it a lot. I use it for everything from rocs to raids to crucible. Only thing I don't use it for is nightfalls or weeklys with burn for obvious reasons. I literally switch the one I have around everytime I play and I want to be able to not have to do that. :D
