Finally got the Gjallarhorn after 30+ days, 70+ RNG exotics!!!!
EDIT May 26th, I FINALLY got the Gjallarhorn on Tuesday, reset day. I did Crota normal 3x, Nightfall 3x, and Atheon Hard 3x, on my last Atheon encounter, on my Titan I saw it pop up. I was ecstatic! I had previously got a Dragon's Breath, Truth, No Land Beyond, and The Last Word, the same day from said previous activities ^
The curse has been broken! After 70+ exotics from RNG i FINALLY EARNED MY GJALLARHORN!!!!!
After having Destiny from Day 1, thoroughly enjoying the gameplay and raiding with friends, I've decided enough is enough. I just can't deal with how Destiny's reward system is based off of RNG. Whose bright idea was that?
After getting my 5th Universal Remote, and 8th Dragon's Breath from Crota Hard today i was like "F*** It, I'm done".
I've completed every Nightfall since day 1, every raid since day 1, including VoG and CE on Hard with all 3 characters for MONTHS IN A ROW. And yet this game STILL won't reward me with a Gjallarhorn, even after giving my friends their 3rd or 4th ones while I'm in the same game. Complete Bull****. 30 days of game time, F*** RNG.

NO ONE has worse luck than me. Tell me what are the "random" chances of THIS happening?
Let me know when you get 56 Exotic weapons, out of 15 possible weapons, and have them all be duplicates, and not 1 Gjallarhorn or Mida.

EDIT: Such a toxic community. For those of you showing sympathy and encouragement, I thank you. The community needs more people like you all.
EDIT 2: To the people who think I quit just because i didn't get the Gjallarhorn- no that's not true. Hunger of Crota is just as viable an option. What brought me to my boiling point was the sheer amounts of Dragon's Breaths and No Land Beyonds i got in this last month. It's so infuriating how RNG was seen as a good option for what could have been an amazing game.

I have played over 800 hrs and just cant get the rest of the exotics i am missing. On the other hand, my son has played half the time and already has all exotic weapons. I aldo have thought of quitting but I like playing it my friends so now I just play to socialize and hang out with my friends. I look forward to some other games coming out like Battlefront. Why would anyone show sympathy for someone who plays a game based on getting one weapon. I can't see the point in uninstalling a game because u can't get a gjallerhorn. The game is fun. Play it to have fun. Not for the fabled weapon.

You will re install for HoW it's okay. Every MMO is RNG based. Some use bosses as way to get specific loot, some just cater to casuals (diablo) and some keep you here for the grind (destiny). I gave up on looking for ghally and ended up getting 3 in a month. It's gambling, if you go into a casino and spend $20 and stay there for 2 to 3 hours without having to spend any more of your money that's a pretty good night. If you win something good than awesome. Stop thinking about it and enjoy the things that have kept you playing.

I felt the same way. My friends had 3 gallahorns and one friend had seven suros regimes. I had neither. A few weeks ago I had almost given up on both those guns, then in the same week I get both of them. Suros from vog chest and gallahorn from crota hard. Keep ur head up man when ur least expecting it u will get one :)

Trust me man I went through the same thing i raided VOG around 50 ( 20 or so we're hard mode ) times spread throughout different characters and never got the heavies, the mark, the helmet, or vex. I quit destiny for a long time and only recently started to play it again, but not as avidly as I used to. [spoiler]HOW might breathe the life back into the game for me, I hope[/spoiler]

Dude. Over 1200 hours played. More than double your time. No Gjallarhorn. Everyone on my friends list has gotten at least one, some with only 7 days played. Just enjoy the game and forget about grinding for the gun. Sooner or later it'll pop up and you'll be crapping bricks when you do get it!
