In my own opinion I believe that all exotic primary weapons should do some sort of elemental damage, all raid weapons do haha even VOG ones. Comment what you think primaries should have, ones that don't have arc, solar, or void and list what they should have.

Yeah but unless your piggybacked through all the raids it takes skill to complete raids to get the weapon drops. That's why they have elemental damage. Any moron can get a exotic. That's why elemental damages are given to raid primaries over exotics. My .02

5 AntwortenNo they shouldn't. Your primary needs to be effective against all targets. I do think however when you purchase a new gun you should be allowed to select the damage type it cause, certainly on fusion rifles, shotguns and snipers.

1 AntwortenI'll get flamed for this, but I personally think that exotic primaries should do elemental damage, and raid legendaries should not. At least exotics should unlock an elemental damage ability in their upgrade path. This would better define exotic versus legendary. That said, I don't think they should go and strip existing raid legendaries as that would anger too many players. Thorn and Bad Juju - void Midas - start as kinetic, unlock elementals as an upgrade, making them selectable once you have a fully upgraded weapon. Hard light - solar Last Word - arc Suros - ? - would lean towards arc

I feel like raid weapons are a different, better, type, and really don't fit with other legendary weapons. They are like exotics you can equip multiples of.

3 AntwortenI would say that the hard light needs solar because the description says that it superheats its rounds. Multi tool needs more than one damage type, just because it's the multi tool. Thorn needs void, simply because it's a hive corrupted weapon. Same with bad juju. 4th horseman should do solar because it's made to hunt cabal. Cabal mostly have solar or void shields. only arc in one strike. That's not justifiable. Pocket infinity should be void, simply because "doesn't void sounds infinite?" came into my head when I first heard of it. Dragon's breath should be changed to an arc launcher in some way, or add an arc launcher. Just to cover bases. The selection on this game is severely lacking, all things considered
