How many of you can run the sword?
I just ran sword for the first time on hard mode Crota's End. And let me tell you, I was amazing at it. 4 hits each kneel for the first sword, then 4 and 1, and finally 3 and 2. Yeah, I know, other people like to go all out and kill him with less swords or other things. But for doing it the first time on hard, I consider that pretty damn good. Now I'm told to do it all the time haha.
So, being the leader of my clan, I'm now efficient in all aspects of each raid. Didn't even have the boots that make me go faster with the sword.
How about you guys? Can you do well? What matters the most for you, the rocket shooters or getting hits in? Tell me.
Edit: Liking all of your responses, my fellow sword bearing badasses. Whether on normal or on hard, you are the real mvp.

1 AntwortenPretty much perfected it on hard with my Hunter. I gotten really close with my Titan and warlock though. I would of had it with my Titan but a teammate got rekt'd by a little smeagol behind the glass when crota enraged lol. It kinda feels good feeling that rush again.

I usually spank Scrotes with either my Hunter or Warlock. At least 4 of my group can run the sword on normal. We usually end up either fighting over bearer duties or taking turns. On hard it's myself & a bad ass from Dames of Destiny who can shank him. There are less skillful members of our team. My strat is to get as many hits in per sword as possible. That way I buy ourselves some leeway if my time using the sword is restricted later. My heart was beating out of my chest during the last sword the first time I beat him. It's a real adrenaline rush, especially with the rest of your team cheering you on. Seeing him fall to ashes by your hand and the feed go crazy with loot drops is a great feeling. If any of you haven't tried running the sword yet, please, I implore you to give it a go. Run it on normal 1st, & ask for patience from your team mates. Once you've got the timing down & can consistently hit him & escape, you're golden. I believe many people have their unique way of calling out to take Crota's shield down. Personally, I will say, "Get ready" as I'm nearing the rock. This gets the attention of my team. We're a jokey bunch & this snaps them into serious mode. I'll then pretty much shout for my team to burn him. There's so many tutorials and threads available on this, it's more about finding what works for you.

1 AntwortenIve done it and beat it as bearer on both modes, but i prefer not to do it since my mate is much more efficient. And i raid with him every week.

1 AntwortenI've done it once on normal for my Titan and warlock and got tired of looking for a sword bearer that is a "Hunter" so I made a Hunter and didn't even try normal went straight to hard and finish in 4 try's. IMO Not bad for my first time with a Hunter but also HM as well.

1 AntwortenI run on any class but only normal. I've done in 2 swords before ogres come out. I can't really run on hard. It is definitely much harder. Gotta count the hits and time the enrage correctly.

3 AntwortenGratz.. Nothing wrong with 4 swords. I'd rather sit through 4 swords than 1 hour of wipes.
