Wtf are people doing, stocking up for the apocalypse? Xur has never gone more than 4 weeks without heavy. It's historically about every other week. Aaaand the heavy ammo fix is coming in a damn week... Not gonna be losing all our heavy ammo each wipe. People acting like its the last time he will ever sell it.
Honestly, what are you gonna use 800 synths on? Am I the only one that's done with HM Crota and prefers not to blow all my coins and become a slave to the Weekly Heroic again just to restock?
Its your $ but c'mon... 800? I bought 140 myself and I thought that was a lot
Edit: Mistake on my part. Last time Xur sold heavy ammo was 1/9. So the last 5 times before today that he was in the Tower he didn't have it.
Edit 2: lots o' salty, bitter people here. Shouldn't have expected anything less on these forums. I was just curious, and I got my answer. I get it if you have nearly all the exotics and have hundreds of coins. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Edit 3: Just so we're clear, I always have heavy when I need it, I lasted the entire Drought of 2015 with heavy to spare, and I am effectively done with HM Crota as of about 10 days ago. Am I the only one that Surpluses?

A majority of the people purchasing the heavy ammo have nothing else they need to purchase from xur and have 250+ strange coins. Why not stock up? Knowing Bungie's streak with fixing stuff without messing something else up in Destiny. It would probably be smart to stock up on some.

2 AntwortenClearly you've never attempted Crota with a couple lfg squeakers. They cause more wipes than Taco Bell. Not as many as Chipotle though, but close.

I'm with ya man.. Done with hard mode 2 weeks ago.. Only doin normal now for the fusion rifle.. I did buy 200 syns but that's what I bought last time and it lasted quite awhile

200 coins and NLB 4 times in a few months span...what the hell else would I spend it on? Besides I have all I really want anyway, everything else is just icing.

I have every exotic in the game except dragons breath (as well as the nechrocasm, but he doesnt sell that obviously) which means I have nothing else to spend my coins on. I already bought a sparrow booster pack from him months ago and used it on my sparrow. I've already got telemetries for every weapon type. I've already got all the exotic armor that I need. There's nothing else for me to buy that I will actually use except heavy ammo synthesis.

I have 100+ coins and all but 3 exotic weapons. Right now, glimmer is more valuable than strange coins for me

It's just easier than glimmer farming. I'm lazy. Coins are useless to me unless I spend them on heavy. That and I f'ing love spamming rockets in PvE.

I don't know about you, I bought 400. Not that I needed them all, but spaced out across 3 characters is nice. Also it's not like my coins see much use at all.. sitting at 26 exotic shards, 200 coins, every exotic weapon, every exotic gear besides 3... I don't have anything else to buy coins with... I didn't even need the heavy, I just felt better having it. I have had 35-40 the last few months. When you have a good raid team you don't lose much heavy, even less when you're the sword bearer. Well either way just didn't have anything else to spend it on...

5 AntwortenI think your wrong... I think Xur sold heavy synths for 2 reasons. 1. The patch will be delayed and 2. They were afraid of the backlash over No Land Beyond.

I agree. I bought 75 w each of my characters and I thought that was a bit excessive. I'm still going to be very stingy about using them.

Better than buying a dozen no land beyond's. Too many coins and not enough inventory.
