300 vs 331, what's the difference?
wondering what the difference is between the two attack stats could someone explain?

28 Antworten100% impact = damage value / 10 Example: lvl 30 mob = 300 dmg gun / 10 (i.e. fatebringer) lvl 33 mob = 331 / 10 (i.e. word of crota) In that example, word of crota will hit for 100% impact on all mobs lvl 33 and lower. Fatebringer will only do 100% impact on mobs 30 and lower. This thing is that your damage is capped at 100%. You don't get bonus damage for being a higher level than the mob you are facing. You can; however, receive a damage penalty for every level you are under a mobs level.

I don't blame you for asking. I'm confused about the difference between an AR and a scout in damage output. How many times ya gotta hit with AR to be equal to a scout?

When comparing Fatebringer to woc, overall, Fatebringer does more danger due to firefly causing explosion and damaging nearby enemies. Yes woc has higher base damage but only to a single enemy. I base all weapon damage on the amount of damage you can deal in a single clip. That's just me though.

300 guns do max damage against level 30's 331 guns do max damage against level 33's

the damage rating determines the damage you can do to enemies of a certain level. so you'd do more damage to a lvl 20 with 300 rather than 28. the difference won't be noticed until higher lvl enemies like lvl 36 come and are able to resist damage from your 300 fate bringer
