Remove shotguns first, and also thorn has one of the most well developed back-stories of all the weapons, bungie wouldn't get rid of the puny amount of story they have, so no.

Edit: Do you realize that there are BLUE hand cannons that can kill in two hits without any damage tic? Blue auto rifles with the stability and impact of the vanquisher? Seriously people complaining about weapons need to think outside of the box.
