Does this bother anyone else? What's the point of having a bayonet on your gun if you don't use it.

Monte Carlo's perk makes since to have the bayonet. Red death not really sure other than its awesome looking.

Guns like those should have a increased melee speed perk and a unique animation for each one that uses the bayonet. Don't get me wrong I love the aesthetics of the bayonet but give it some use at least.

Or perhaps they just look really cool. Like throwing knives, right? Realistically terrible, but you get max style points.

They should add a charge to a OHK long range melee. Small animation of moving weapon back then thrusting forward. Has a lock on similar to shoulder charge. Watch a clip of COD bayonet melee to get an idea.

Or when you run out of ammo it won't automatically reload instead it does melee damage.

I think the Monte Carlo's bayonet is relevant to how it increases melee recharge rate, and Red Death's is merely aesthetic.

1 AntwortenDoesn't really bother me other than Bungie did special animation for TLW - why not a little extra animation for melee with bayonet weapons, doesn't need to be gory, something like the hunter melee would do.

4 AntwortenIt's kind of like the katana on the Hayabusa armor, or the combat knife on the CQB armor in Halo 3; it's just for show. Bungie really needs to break that habit... It would be awesome if these guns could have a unique melee animation; one that could work with Storm Grip, Barrier Melee, Blink Strike, Energy Drain, and Scorch. Obviously, there's no way they could make it work with the Throwing Knife... unless you wanna toss the whole gun at your enemies, Tediore-style...
