6 AntwortenI like the oversoul in pvp now, after this , it will be op. In a other note, Notice how Bungie showed that autos were the most used in iron banner, but I'm pretty most the time , there was always a bounty for headshots with autos.

Dont mean to go off topic here and pardon me if its old news but, red death has the frame of an auto and bad juju has the frame of a scout. Thought maybe they were once intended to be an ar and scout, respectively.

1 AntwortenPulse rifles should be middle ground between auto and scout. More impact and range than auto, but less than scout. Just look at 99% of shooting games. Three round burst guns are middle ground. It's not our fault pulse rifles are absolutely horrible. The gun designers should be held accountable for -blam!-ing this up, not the customers.

10 AntwortenSuper Pox VLO. My first legendary. Played the whole campaign with pulses, then my 5th strike after lvl 20 was a high impact, solid stability pulse with field scout. I thought the game worked like that, never knew anything about "random". Now I'm thankful that no one will ever have this gun. I hold it in the same regard people do with their Shadow Price.

4 AntwortenTook this out of my own post Examples: Atheons epilogue - 264 dps Abyss Defiant (hip fire perk) - 270 dps Another NiTC - 272 dps Badger CCL - 275 dps (surprised me too) The Devil You Dont - 346 dps (hand cannon) Now, Bungie already knows that the pulse rifles are weak, and they plan to fix it. Heres the problem though. After a 9.7% increase in base damage, the pulse rifles i have will look like this: Oversoul Edict - 234 dps (216 right now) Time on target - 237 dps (221 right now) With more magical math, i learned that the buff should be 22%!!! My pulse rifles would look like this: Oversoul Edict - 261 dps Time On Target - 268 dps Thats more like it...

49 AntwortenI'm tired of Bungie punishing PVE players with their PVP gun "nerfs". I don't play PVP in this game I simply don't care for it Battlefield is better at PVP lots of games do PVP better and that's okay so I play strictly PVE and here again they're f*****g with the PVE players to deal with what they say is a PVP problem. How is that fair to the people who don't play PVP but we're punished anyway? The day one grinding vets who have 20 days or more played haven't stuck around for the PVP I can assure you that and this new patch is giving PVE players the finger and Bungie needs to explain why they're doing something that effects the entire game for half of the player base while the other half who had nothing to do with the stats they put up as their reason for patching are punished as well.

5 AntwortenSo this might be unrelated but this thread made me think about it. On my Titan I have Bad Seed Down, and I've noticed that if I hit an enemy with all the rounds in a burst and don't miss it only consumes 2 bullets out of the magazine instead of 3. Is this a bug or intentional?

Currently there are 4 archetypes of Pulse rifles: Abysmal impact, Pathetically Low Impact, Really Low Impact and Low Impact (Well, High for pulse rifles and auto rifles and low for everything else) The DPS for each archetype is below ( in some cases way below) the DPS for similar archetypes of autorifles. Do not get me started on the DPS comparison to scout rifles or handcannons. Just don't. There are a few reasons why I do not use pulse rifles. 1, I do not like pulling the trigger 500 freaking times to clear a room. Pulse rifles handle like an autorifle with the player trying to spam the most bursts in the least amount of time. Low impact pulse rifles feel like I cannot pull the trigger fast enough to get the weapon to do its full DPS. Just try to imagine a semi-automatic autorifle where you had to pull the trigger to fire each shot instead of holding the trigger down until you nee to reload. That mental image is a pulse rifle. 2, If I have to pull the trigger 4-5 times to down a single enemy, I want to be able to fully control each shot. I can do that easily with scout rifles and it feels rewarding when I do. Trying to do that with pulse rifles is an exercise in futility as it feels like my precision shots are a matter of luck and not skill. High impact pulse rifles handle like bastard child of a scout rifle and an auto rife with none of the redeeming factors of either. Imagine a Dhampire (half vampire half human) which had human like reflexes and strength, but burned in the sunlight and could only drink blood. That imagining is a pulse rifle. 3, The perks on pulse rifles suck. The pulse rifle exclusive perk grants a 4th shot if one of the 3 in the burst miss. Well news flash! Most of the time the round which misses is the LAST ROUND because of the huge recoil. Thank you for granting me a 4th round which will also miss. Imagine a single shot rocket launcher with nothing but stability perks. That gun is still better then a pulse rifle with the 4th round perk. 5, Most armor does not have pulse rifle perks. I mean it is hard finding armor (at least for me) that gives Pulse Rifle reload speed or additional ammo. And even if it does I say "ew" and trash it because that is precisely what it is: trash. If you want me to use pulse rifles here is what needs to happen BUNGiE: 1, Make the gun handle like a scout rifle, not an auto rifle. What I mean is that you need to SLOW THE RATE OF FIRE WAY THE -blam!- DOWN and RAISE THE -blam!-ING IMPACT so that each burst does close to and if all headshots exceeds the damage of a precision shot from a scout rifle. The high recoil from firing is only justified if I am able to do more damage then similar weapons with less recoil. Not close to, not in the same ballpark as, MORE damage then. 2, Give pulse rifles useful perks. I mean come on. I have not yet seen a pulse rifle with decent perks. You almost have to perk for increased stability under the current model just to keep the recoil at a level where you can fight though it to try to keep up with the RoF. Also pitch Secret Round and replace it with something actually -blam!-ing useful. 3, Have Legendary and Exotic pulse rifles come STANDARD with SELECTABLE full auto, which modifies the stats to a lower impact model similar to the selectable elemental damage on Murmur. 4, Have pulse rifles not look like someone got drunk in the auto rifle factory and said "hold my beer ya'all and check this shit out".
