The result was a weapon that would feed on its owner’s aggression—reaching further when angry eyes drew focus, its hunger rising as it tore through bone and flesh."[/i][/quote]Perhaps, as a suggested buff, the Necrochasm could fire further and deal more (increasing?) damage when the user's health is lowered? This builds on the weapon canon, of it feeding on its owner's anger and aggression. If taking damage drastically buffed damage output, then the weapon could be very powerful during and following head-to-head encounters, without being able to massacre oblivious enemies from afar - a nice way of balancing it imo. This might also encourage an unusual player build: slowest possible health recovery, suiting a high-risk--high-reward playstyle.
