Grimoire score determines how good of a player you are now ?
So sense my Card score is under 2000 I'm a "NOOB" ? It's sad that people judge you off of what score it is ! Smh I remember when people would just play with each other , so many damn elitist in this game it's sad

My grim is rather high, and while I've dabbled in the raids, watches some vids, I've only completed VoG 3 times once normal twice on hard. Yet to focus on Crota. Does that mean I can't be effective, no, not if I have someone telling me where to go, and I can pick things up quickly. But if I was someone that was clueless, didn't watch vids, I'd still be worthless with a high grim score.

No, but I think it's more of a threshold. A high grimoire can show that a player has been around for a while. Has some experience. 2400 doesn't mean better than 2350, but 2600 is a little more telling than say 1850..

I dont think that having a high grimoire score makes you good. I have played with plenty of people during raids who have a 2000+ score and cant stay alive. Same goes in crucible with not being able to go positive and having 2000+ grim score. It is not a measure of how good you are imo. I think most people with high grim score are the people who worked to get their score up there. For example, searching for hidden ghosts or using pulse rifles/snipers to obtain a higher score. There are plenty of people who have over a 2000+ grim score who are not "good" at this game and there are plenty of people with under a 2000 score who are "good" at this game.

Probably most of those high grimoire players looked up all the dead ghost locations. You can't really tell how good someone is unless you actually play with them.

It used to be that your Light Level showed how much time you've put into the game, and so how much experience you had (not necessarily accounting for actual skill) But, skilled or unskilled, experience will make a player better at the game in general. Now that the tower vendors sell armor that can get you to such a high Light Level so quickly, this is not a good representation of how much experience a player has anymore. So we go to the Grimoire, the higher the score means the player has put more time into the game, and likely has more experience than a player with a lower score. (Again, this doesn't indicate any skillfulness, just experience) So basically, a more experienced player is [b]more likely[/b] to be more skilled than a less experienced player. Light Levels don't mean much in this regard anymore, so we look at the Grimoire.

1 AntwortenNothing, absolutely nothing can determine your skill level other than your gameplay. Accolades are meaningless, what you do in a hard raid, pvp, nightfall, etc., that's what matters.

Yes it's bullshit. If you only like using Hand Cannons your not gonna get extra Grim score for shotguns and pulses and all the others you don't use. But you might be the world's number 1 raider using hand cannons . It's a false stats in my book

For me, once your past 2200 you are experienced, higher than ~2300 and you most likely collected ghost

It doesn't show skill, it shows experience. Personally, I wanted experienced players on my team.

It's not to show who is better. It shows who has more experience in the game. Your grimoire score goes up for weapon use, PvE enemy kills, PvP enemy kills, completing activities.

1 AntwortenMy grimoire score magically decreased after a patch when the DLC dropped. Since then I don't even care. I'm sitting at under 2,400 I think.

There are a lot of people that aren't elitist d-bags for example when I beat hard mode earlier this week I was host and let a 31 stay with throughout the crota fight and we had no problems and still beat it in about 20 minutes

6 AntwortenIt's stupid for people to think that hunting ghosts gives you a high score. It does increase your score, but not as much as people think.

I think a big part is because now you can't go by level because so many people just cheesed their way to 32, so higher grimoire score shows how much people have played in a way.
