Hi Deej,
Can you please confirm whether or not Gjallarhorn is in Xur's rotation and if said rotation is truely RANDOM. He has been, consistantly over the past few weeks, selling DLC items (is Xur's inventory manipulated?).
Edit: And also whether the weapons have an equal chance of being offered or do some weapons have a greater drop/offer rate than others?
It would be nice if you could explain in detail to the community how this part of the game works.
I don't think it's to much to ask.

2 AntwortenThey better not sell it because i wanna get it myself do u no how pissed of u are when u earn a great gun and then xur just sells it
-
They do what they want. I think at one point they asked on Twitter what gun they'd like to see Xur sell. Everyone said suro. Guess what happened next week.. A nother freakin suro.

22 AntwortenStop crying cause xur didn't sell ghorn hope it never sold again.

Good legitimate question and would help clear up the ghorn post in the forum. All I want is heavy ammo synth every week.
-
And....why can't heavy ammo synth be sold every week?
-
Xûr inventory is controlled by some douche at bungle. HE refuses to let xûr sell something new.
-
1 AntwortenI also believe that rng is different from player to player as well as the the weapons having a certain percentage as to when it drops. Every vanguard roc strike, I can't stay away from the tide auto rifle...It's drop rate is extremely high
-
In my opinion what's screwed up the ghorn are all these people posting videos about how quickly they killed whatever boss with it, that's the reason it's not being sold they messed it up for everyone. Think about it if you were bungie would you want the bosses in your game being wiped out in 10-20 seconds? No of course not and yes I have it and no I don't give a toss who else gets it this is just my thoughts on it.

Bump, i doubt we the community will get an answer tho.

1 AntwortenTo me, gameplay is the best when my team can function at full capacity. Although there is immense joy after receiving that exotic you've been grinding endlessly for, it's only a result of hopelessness which eventually erodes the player's experience. I would much rather trade the opportunity of uniqueness for maximum fireteam cooperativity for two reasons. First, it's impossible to be unique within the largely populated and relatively homogenous universe bungie has created. Second, skill is still the major determinant of who is successful in PvE or PvP, which adds more value to a weapon than anything else. In less words, give the weapons to everyone because it will make the gamer's experience more enjoyable in the long run, especially if destiny continues to evolve at its current slow pace.

I try using past inventory or tendencies of Bungie to make that conclusion. What really made me question the "rng" of Xur started before the dlc. If we all remember when the update and topic came up about encouraging more than one person to run nightfall because lots of people decided to solo. Well, the damage was normalized to make it harder for just one person to accomplish although it still can be. The one thing that most solo players were using was heavy ammo synth. An item that Xur had been selling for the longest. When the hot fix arrived to attempt to stop solo playing on missions, Xur didn't have heavy ammo synth. And he's only been selling it sporadically since.

12 AntwortenXur isn't rng
-
Yeah you are not going to get an answer to that.
-
Idk but this is the fourth time in five weeks he's sold starfire protocol XD

25 AntwortenXur's inventory is not random. They choose what Xur sells. They won't sell Gjallahorn because it is such an effective weapon. So keep praying to RNGeezus for it because Xur won't be selling it. Just another example of how bad their loot system is. I have played this game for almost 600 hours and I have not gotten a Gjallahorn. Beaten both Raids more times than I can count on normal and hard. Nightfalls etc etc...not one Gjallahorn drop. Oh but I have been present time and again to watching a casual player or a DLC 31 with zero skill get a Gjallahorn drop. While I am on this rant...I have a question for DeeJ as well....honest answer please...i know that is difficult for you WHY IN THE HELL IS XUR NOT SELLING HEAVY WHEN YOU JUST LITERALLY MAKE A WEEKLY F****ING POST ABOUT HEAVY????????????? THOSE OF US THAT RAID ALL THE TIME BURN THRU HEAVY. I DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT YOUR HORRIBLY DESIGNED, INEFFECTIVE DLC EXOTICS. I SURE AS SHIT DO NOT NEED MORE TELEMETRY OR SPARROW UPGRADES. I SPEND MY COINS ON HEAVY. XUR USED TO ALWAYS HAVE HEAVY. IT IS INCREDIBLY SIMPLE TO ADD HEAVY BACK IN HIS INVENTORY PERMANENTLY. WHY IN THE HELL IS XUR NOT SELLING HEAVY??????????????????????????????

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Elite-Hunter_17: 1/31/2015 3:56:32 AMBump! I wish someone at Bungie would really answer this. I personally believe xur's inventory is random but I know a lot of people would disagree. I refuse to believe though that Bungie would make it so that xur would never sell thunderlord or Hardlight, when neither of which are overpowered in the slightest or are playstation exclusive weapons. So if Bungie really were in charge of his inventory, wouldn't he have sold those two exotic weapons at least once by now?

I'm done with Starfire -blam!-ing Protocol

34 AntwortenXur should never sell the Gjallarhorn. At least let a few weapons be rare. I finally got my first Gjallarhorn on Tuesdays Nightfall after playing 1379 hours so I know the pain of playing with out a truly beautiful and destructive weapon. If I were to list the amount of exotics and the number of times that same weapon dropped you would be astounded as well as you would understand why I was yelling and freaking out when in the same day I got Red Death from a legendary engram and Gjallarhorn from the nightfall. All the other weapons I have are worthless and meaningless compared to the two the took that long to acquire in the same day. I my honest opinion I wish all exotics had a bounty to complete before either getting the weapon as a reward or being allowed to purchase the weapon. I value Thorn and Bad JuJu because of the grind to get the weapon more than my 7th Suros or my 10th Vex.

I got 2 gallahorn last week from drops in raids I have 3 of them now
-
6 AntwortenGjally was sold week 1 or week 2 I can't remember for the life of me so yes it is in the table. Some assholes went around spreading the rumor that it and icebreaker were taken off but that was CLEARLY refuted by Xur selling icebreaker 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Ill find the link but there was a twitch stream eons ago asking about xurs inventory and deej said it was planned. Then he got in trouble and they pulled the twitch.

This RNG is brutal. I remember when Xur sold the G-horn the first time he was at the tower. If he sold it once, I think he should sell it again. I'm not just saying this because I don't have it and didn't buy it at the time, but because what a lot of people fail to understand is that unless changes are made to the loot system, or unless he sells it again, some people will NEVER get this gun. The way it stands now, this gun has in some ways divided the community in ways that people are not allowed in certain raid groups....not really because of lack of skill, but because of lack of luck. This weapon is one that should seriously have had a quest line behind it, but it does not. What is really upsetting is the fact that a majority of the people saying Xur should not sell it again are more and likely the ones who bought it from him in the first place. If nothing else, Bungie should at least create a monthly strike, bounty, or mission that has a week long window to complete that gurantees you one of the exotics that aren't tied to a bounty or exclusive to PS. At the end of the day, the main issue is that some of the people who have it feel they are special and the more people who have it, as crazy as it may sound will make them feel less special.
