tired of crota on hard???
I am seriously sick of crota. Been trying for 6 hours a day the last couple days with various randoms and always comes so close but can't do it. I could literally run the last part with my eyes closed by now using the middle strategy. Something always happens like sword disappearing and crota doing unexpected hits.
How does anyone beat him??? I've read all the strategies it seems like every one knows what to mechanically but something always goes wrong?? Anyone else having a hard time ?
Edit. Woohoo I did it - I beat that punk crota. today I joined a group after ten minutes on the 2nd try he was done I finally went to 32 on my second character!! It's still glitchy though. Thanks to all who offered support and advice. Peace!

Got him second try on my hunter yesterday, you just need to find a team that isn't full of arrogant people trying to do stuff apart from the team and it works out flawlessly!

Once you find yourself a good sword bearer and you get your timing down its not to bad. I joined a friend and some randoms and took him down my first try for them. It's all about distracting the boomers so I can get up close to crota and do my job. Everyone else just needs to have heavy ammo and stay safe. Your sword bearer should be calling out all steps of the fight. If you even have that 1 guy who can't seem to escape the boomers or keeps falling off stuff it will make the fight way harder. Also make your sword bearer the host. Will help some with lag and bugs....

Did it first time with randoms in about 2 hours. Would have been quicker but there are so many glitches :-(

2 AntwortenTook us 3 hours last night but finally finished it. There was no consistent thing making us fail, it was one random thing after another, all to different people. It was very satisfying to beat him though. I got the scout rifle, excited to level it up. Gotta go back for that handcannon though.

Congrats on beating him. I was trying for several hours the other night before work and we would always get boned by some ridiculous glitch. Crota at one point even jumped down off the upper level. Instead of fixing all the glitches and problems before releasing hard mode they had to fix all the cheeses because god knows these forums light up with whiners about people doing the raids legit.

54 completions....its fun if you are the swordbearer...I help teams all the time..sometimes it only takes 1 run and other times it takes up to 10...after ten I am on to the next team needing my services...

2 AntwortenYeah for the past few hours its been hard to beat that "green giant" because of all of the glitches :/ but managing to beat him finally felt good!

1 AntwortenFriday night, we got him down to the last sword two times in a row... Both times, as soon as he became enraged, the sword disappeared... I've beaten him a few times now, but the glitches do get old. With a month between the release of normal and hard, there really is no excuse for it.

I've noticed beating crota on normal tends to take longer than hard mode. It's really bc you get a lot of guys who don't raid much but do to the fact bungie made getting to lvl 31 as easy as getting to Lvl 20, u get players who don't understand mechanics or just in general don't belong in the raid yet...

I dont like crotas raid. Its way too boring. The only person getting action is the sword bearer. Everyone just stands back n watch. Not like VOG. Everyone gets action.

Beat him once but he is glitchy as heck. had one hit left and he just jumps up. I been trying for 2days straight i give up untill they fix it

1 Antwortengetting there, have 4 hard completions and every weapon except pulse rifle/fusion which I don't really care about, have the crux. I don't like the crota fight in general and especially on hard. The most common strategy now is center window, distract boomers with bubble, hide in room for ogres. This works well but isn't fun to me. The lamp section and bridge portion are still sort of fun. But I think vog is just a better raid and more fun to do. When normal crota became stupid easy I worked on soloing it. When that was done I worked on soloing crota in 2 swords, not too bad took a few hours. Now I am now losing interest in the crota raid. I really hope bungie steps it up for the next raid.

1 AntwortenStill haven't beat Crota on Hard Mode. It's tough, but it will happen for me when it happens. Those of you that have already manage to complete it? Congrats! Going to run it again with the crew tomorrow night and give it another go. There are a number of strategies that involve 1 person, or a Titan assist with Ward of Dawn, or the new strategy with hanging out under left tower and circling clockwise when Crota moves right. Can't wait to try again :-)
