Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

technically the easiest strategy is what benefits everybody. if people dont shoot the boomers then they arnt doing it right

1 AntwortenMy team uses the mid strat and I'm our boomer patrol guy - Thx to Icebreaker. The boomers are instant death for your sword carrier, so not shooting boomers is stupid. I handle the boomers alone and the other 4 DPS Crota. Not sure why you think it's a cheese. Boomers can also take you out on your way back inside, unless you have a titan that can drop a timely bubble at the door. I think you are confused between a CHEESE and a Solid Strategy.

The middle ledge strategy is 100% legitimate and not even close to being a cheese. Bungie even admitted in the weekly update that the middle ledge STRATEGY impressed them. Running into the Ogre spawn room also impressed them. If they say it's legit, I'd say it's legit. If you don't like the strategy, don't use it, but it's still a legitimate strategy. Taking the boomers, or any enemies for that matter, out of equation is a smart move, so long as you don't outright cheat to achieve this. Plain and simple. By your logic, the left or right side strategy is a cheese because the boomers on the opposite side can't shoot you? And the Gatekeeper can't reach you? Using a Titan bubble is a cheese because enemies can't shoot you through it? Going invisible with the sword is a cheese because enemies won't shoot at you? See the flaw in your argument?

all you have to do is have a Titan bubble to the right about 50 feet from the middle to the Boomers, and have him sit in it. Boomers and crota shoot at the bubble. Guardian sword bearer lives without ever getting shot. congrats you just beat hard mode.

Lol............So standing in a spot the boomers cant hit dps players but can touch up the swordbearer is cheesing but putting titan bubbles up before boomes spawn so they cant hit swordbearer or dps players is not cheesing?????

I definitely agree that teams try and blame the sword bearer but when they do I ask who else wants to try it. On the rare occasion they actually do I laugh my a$$ off as they fail and tell them to get back to boomer duty so we can kill this mutha.

Can this strategy be done without Titans? Because I would like to see how to counter the boomers on the left side in a Fireteam without Titans.
