This was mentioned in another post but I didn't get to save it to properly quote the fellow, claim your credit here since some of these tips are yours. 1. The Icebreaker is a great weapon, but not the only one you should use. It takes roughly 6 seconds for ammo to regen, and once you're out, switch to a decent primary and keep on killing on Guardian. 2. Special ammo drops should refill your primary ammo, and it sometimes feels like the IB earns more special ammo than anything (besides with juggler of course), so take advantage of this fact. 3. The icebreaker 's "target explodes on death" perk is unique to the icebreaker as it will cause them to explode despite it being a precision kill or not. 4. Last but not least, if for some reason you can't get an ammo drop and your icebreaker is not the best weapon you can use, if you let the icebreaker regen to 6 then switch specials you will get ammo back for that weapon. This may be considered exploiting a game mechanic but I will admit to having used it for nightfalls, where my synthesis was on CD and I couldn't get any drops, so I regenerated to 6 and switched to an arc sniper rifle to have 7 rounds of that. Of course, take this time to switch to your primary and keep on picking off enemies til it's back up. Edit for number 4: I assume this ammo idea works for PvP as well but I don't see much practical use in it. Also, bump.
