Evolve might kill Destiny
So my friends and I tried the Evolve and we loved it, I think our group may have found a new game that may out Destiny :(
Edit: the obligatory wow this is trending...
Edit 2: I'm not saying Evolve is better than Destiny or vice versa I'm just voicing my opinion that I think a good chunk of player base will go for Evolve.
Edit 3: People say that Evolve is repetitive, so is Destiny, but Evolve has 800,000 combinations for evacuation.
Edit 4: wow 300 replies in one day I didn't think this was such a hot point for the community.

3 AntwortenHa, great bait. I played Evolve and it is fun. Fun like Titanfall was fun. I was all in for about 6 good hours, and then just like sex with my wife, I was done with it. Destiny may be repetitive, but it is not the same kind of repetition. You work toward something in Destiny. I do not really see anything to work toward in Evolve. You match into some 10 minute maps and then you leave. They may have some progression, but just like Titanfall, there will be no campaign, so perks will really mean nothing. I know you are not saying Evolve is better. I just don't think that will be the game that pulls people away from Destiny. You ask anyone playing Destiny, and they will tell you that they are disappointed with what it ended up being, but they still like it, and that it is incredibly addicting. That is hard to beat

Evolve will last about as long as Titanfall did. It will be hot for the first month or 2 and then die off. There is less there than Titanfall.

You're talking about two different groups of players for the most part. I like multiplayer games but I've never spent as much time playing one as I do games like Destiny or even Fallout. It'll take a game that is closer to an MMO to take on destiny and it'll need to be fairly good to kill it altogether.

Although it's a fun game it won't kill destiny, I said the same thing about titan fall reguarding COD, it's a fun game but would not play it without friends

While I think evolve is a GREAT game, these are 2 VERY different games. You'll come back t destiny...they always do.

Played the closed Beta back in November? And wasn't too impressed. I like the idea of the game and hope it gets better. Right now I feel the issue was pacing. I repeatedly felt like unless I had a rockstar team I would inversely end up running around for 15 minutes until I needed to defend the objective from a rank 3 monster. It just felt like the team dynamic curve is pretty skewed which I understand is had to balance. I hope the game gets better. I think it's a really cool idea.

it somehow manages to have less content and MORE future DLC that's already full mapped out BS no way in hell this game gets close to Destiny. Destiny only got where it is off of Bungie and trailer hype that this game wont have

Just saying, all Evolve map pack DLC will be free and available to everyone. The things you pay for in game are merely cosmetic enhancements

I can't wait for my friends to get an Xbox one so we can all play evolve. I hope destiny makes a big comeback as well, cause it was definitely Disappointing to me

How can people think this is going to outdo anything? I've tried the beta and it's even more repetitious than ping pong... Hunters try and kill monster OR Monster try and kill Hunters (a few upgrades) What else is there?

I don't see it. I doubt it will ever have a steady player base. It will have a quick spike after release never to be heard from again

Well, they are completely different games. One is a 1v4 and the other an "Open World" shooter-rpg-mmo-ish-hybrid-thingy (most accurate description of Destiny, obviously..). Not to mention, Evolve looks like a ton of fun. The same kind of fun Titanfall looks like. A very niche game for a very niche player base. I am afraid that with it's full online premise, along with its RIDICULOUS DLC plan along side a full priced release, that it will in fact pull a Titanfall-esque failure. Not that it won't be fun, I still love my Titanfall, but it will be big for a month then die out to most players. Just my opinion. I just don't think that the player base will overlap all that much in the long haul. [spoiler]Still looking forward to it, however...[/spoiler]

3 Antwortenevolve will be amazing and lots of fun for first month After that people will head to something else. I will head to battlefield hard line with my friends. I know it won't be a so amazing game, most likely won't have a high review rating, probably won't change much on the system compare to BF4, and still with a boring campaign, but that's just an ideal game to have fun with friends, for a long time.
