Petition for the forums.
No more. No more EgoEdits at the bottom of posts. Please - there's nothing I can't stand more than reading a funny/informative/awesome forum post, then seeing this at the bottom:
[i]"[b]Edit 1:[/b] Wow guys we are trending! And I only posted this an hour ago![/i]
[i][b]Edit 2:[/b] Holy smokes, 300 replies! Keep it coming people, this is great![/i]
[i][b]Edit 3:[/b] NOW ON HIGHEST RATED! Geez I didn't expect this to take off so well"[/i]
Contrary to popular belief, having a "hot post" does NOT make you popular or cool. It does not mean DeeJ or another Bungie employee is going to read it. It does not mean that you're the next fad on the Internet. It does not mean you are going MLG or you'll win the lottery.
It's A DANG FORUM POST. If it's popular, bask in the glory WITHOUT bothering everyone with your over-inflated ego.
Please people. I can't take this any more. Many a good post have been ruined for me and this trend needs to stop. Right now.
TL;DR:
Stop adding EgoEdits at the bottom of your hottest posts. It's not cool and it turns a lot of people away. Flaunt about your perceived online popularity elsewhere.
