I think Xur should sell engrams for exotic weapons. U can still buy your armor but the weapons are RNG. That way ppl wouldn't complain about Xur selling stuff you don't want. Comment why u r for or against this idea
Edit 1: Xur would no longer sell weapons only engrams for different weapon types
Edit 2: the weapon engrams would cost strange coins. Also, we've got a lot of people on this keep voting and commenting.
Edit 3: You would be limited to 1 per week per character.

4 AntwortenHow about this Following costs Moats of Light: Titan Class Armor Engram Warlock Class Armor Engram Hunter Class Armor Engram Primary Engram Special Engram Heavy Engram Then sells regular gear for strange coins.

3 Antworten*Buys 10 primary weapon engrams* *Goes to Cryptarch* *Doesnt get Suros* *Goes on forums* *"RNG IS STUPID! I SPENT SO MANY MOTES OF LIGHT AND I DIDNT GET THE GUN I WANT! XUR SUCKS AND SO DOES BUNGIE!" Blah blah blah* There would be so much bitching.

People will always find a reason to complain. I'd much rather see what he has and choose whether or not to buy it vs buying an unknown engram.

1 AntwortenI've managed to do nightfalls and raids nearly every week without Ghorn and IB, so I don't really care. However, I am going to play the devil's advocate here, as someone brought up a very valid point in another thread. Because there is such a heavy emphasis on end game content, making exotics that much harder to obtain can really discourage a lot of casual players, who still very much want to be able to contribute to raids and strikes when they have time to play. Fortunately for me, I have a solid group I play with and we all play regularly, but I can imagine being booted from a lobby because you don't have the right gear can be very discouraging. There far more casual players on Destiny than there are dedicated, the forums are just primarily filled with the latter, so anyone reading the forums gets an inflated sense of disappointment from the player base. I think it's a good thing that any weapon is obtainable for a person of any skill level or dedication. Overall, it increases the value of end game content. Raiding is a blast and I feel sorry for anyone who does not have a solid team to do so with. Without a doubt, the raids are a huge selling point for Destiny. I think we get caught up with the value of our loot and we forget that we are playing a game and we are allowed to just have fun. Keeping the access to these weapons the same (it's not like they are that simple to get, as I've played since beta and have yet to drop some of the most enviable exotics) keeps channels open for casuals and solo players to join in on the fun of the team based content. The goal is not to amass the most OP gear, the goal is to have fun and find new gear in the process, opening up new strategies for conquering challenges. As much as the forums seem to be filled with hate for the current exotic system (albeit no where near perfect), these complaints only make up a small proportion of the entire Destiny population. Side note: I don't see how any of this really matters. It's a video game. Unless you are choosing to spend the majority of your day in front of a console, you have no right to demand that the game changes to fill your needs.

Ive wanted this idea since i heard about Xur months ago. I like it because two of my most wanted weapons are PS exclusive and Xur wont sell them. I have 290 Motes saved up for if he ever sells weapon engrams.
-
1 AntwortenWe would get every gun in a day then quit playing because there's no reason to grind
-
2 AntwortenLegendary weapon engrams, not exotic. 10-15 motes each.
-
1 AntwortenYes but limit people to 1 per character per week
-
1 AntwortenDude my luck I'd get 10 back to back universal remotes lol
-
I like Xur the way he is. Sure I was ecstatic about getting my first exotics at week 5, IB and VF, then a little distressed when he sold VF 6 more times...but still, his inventory is random like the rest of the loot drops on this game, so play for fun and use what you have!
-
Eh. Don't do something to appease those who get sore because they worked oh so hard.
-
I agree or at least think perhaps once a month this should be an option.

-
5 AntwortenAnd u should be able pick dlc guns or normal
-
1 AntwortenGood idea at least you would get a similar weapon to what your aiming for. Eg if your going for ghorn you would at least get a heavy if you didn't get it
-
Stop increasing grind!

That's would be a lot better

8 AntwortenHell no. Never will I buy an engram from Xur again. 6 Titan helmets "don't have a Titan" and 3 SunBreakers, I am done.
-
4 AntwortenBad bc we get more than one exotic a week from him. Even though I'd love it. It will EASILY over saturated what is already a saturated exotic weapons game
-
Hardddddmother-blam!-inglight!
-
1 AntwortenIf he did this I think the amount of Strange coins would need to be 30 per engram
-
3 AntwortenIf xur sold an exotic engram people grind less because they know they can always get engram from him. Don't get me wrong it would be awesome but it would have everyone saving their motes of light to buy a billion engrams
-
I'm just glad you put "couldn't" instead of "could care less" lol
-
Why not both?

Add a -blam!- no poll
