I was on patrol getting bounties done. What happened made me smile and laugh out loud. Very cool stuff.
I think this type of stuff is what makes destiny. Ultimately, Yes, we know the story is lacking.
But, we still play it right?
Destiny to me is this type of stuff. It is funny things that happen. It is raiding with my friends. Playing some competitive PvP. Soloing a nightfall boss. It is making your own "Destiny"
Which, that is what the game has always been to me. After I play, even after the very first time I ran through the story mode, I was never talking among my friends saying " OMG, did you see that dead guardian? How did he die?" What will the speaker do next? It is all the other random things.
This particular story we have in front of us now, can be built on.
Stuff like " You see that level 9 vandal kill all 3 of us?" LOL @ Randall the unfraggable vandal. OR
" You hear about those 3 guys in the Omnigul NF that downed her in 15 seconds with Gjallarhorns?"
That is Destiny.
Have you come across some new guardians?
Have a good week and weekend guys- CoolGuy
Edit: Nice replies!
I did go on destinytracker.com and check him out. He is indeed, a new guardian. Low Grimoire score, only one character. He is a level 12 now ( They grow up so fast !)
That, and Destiny did win some awards. Playstation users voted Destiny game of the year. Game informer gave Destiny the Best cooperative multiplayer award and the best shooter award. The game is not as bad as people would lead you to believe :)

im not a xmas noob but i was levelng up my 3rd character i think about a level 3/4 hunter. i was heading towards skywatch for a mission when a public event occoured. As a low level I wouldn't have bothered but there was a lvl 31 in the area that was getting into it. I think I managed to kill a few but I died alot. At the end instead of just taknig off the lvl 31 gave me a wave and went on his way. It good to see that not all of the destiny community are a bunch of aholes. A big shout out to all the good ones out there.

Who'sagoodchristmasnoooob? You are! You are! Yes you are.

Sometimes you need to think, and slow down a touch. You need to remember that you are actually killing a deadly hive wizard, not just repeating a mission for loot. That's why so many people overlook the games true depth. The grind is a decent length, but everyone forgets what they are really doing.

1 AntwortenDad: "Here son look what I brought you" Son: "W-what is that" Dad: "Pick it up try it out, cmon let's go upstairs" Son: "Woaw this is awesome" Dad: *points* "go try it out over there" Son: "look at me dad I'm doing it!!" Dad: "I'm so proud of you son" The dialogue I imagined between these two in my head I make myself laugh ok

I was a level 27 ages ago, and i needed help with the last part of the thorn bounty, i sent invites to anyone in the tower who was 28 or above, the invite saying i needed help withthe last part of thorn bounty. Two level 30's joined and they had mics, at the time i had almost no clue what to do to get xyor since i had just finished the crucible part (i wanted that thorn quick!) So the three of us went into the strike, and they guided me and taught me things along the way, they were bloody awesome, at the end we had done the bounties, and i had made two new friends, those two thirties also helped me to finish my first nightfall. Teaching other guardians is fun and rewarding

I made the "mistake" of waving at a newly minted level 2 at the tower. He invited me to party and I joined, I am a nice guy after all. It then became clear that this particular guardian was 12, and acted 6. I then did the only awkward thing I could think of, I turned off my console. For the rest of the night i received over 20 party invites until I finally put the nail in the coffin and blocked him. I feel bad, but I'm 32 with a son of my own, don't need another. Lol

2 AntwortenDid you adopt him as your Christmas noob?

I'm not the best player by far however it was awesome about a week or so ago to run into a group of noobs running vog and I did help them open the door. Pointed out the splitting of team to look after each pad and when the door opened each one waved then we danced and they went on there way. It was awesome being part of that. To lend a hand and also knowledge to a new group.

Take care of kindergaurdians everyone.

Ha, that's awesome!

1 AntwortenI always wanted to help a group of noobs open the gate to VoG while on Patrol but it never happens :(. I always drop the sword for people too.

1 AntwortenSPOILER ALERT: He has 10k kills on his account. Not a new player. Nice try though.

Just did this with a level 7 Titan, basically knifed the swordbearer to death and pointed to the sword, watched 'em smash the crap out of everything in sight Felt good

Bearbeitet von NoctisEverto: 1/9/2015 7:34:07 PMKeep your light close guardian, there are those who would steal it. I was barely able to come out of the darkness, definitely not unscathed. Dredgen Yor's life may be gone, but his light lives on within me. I have seen what they call "the darkness" in ourselves, as there is also light within our foes. Who are we to claim such a vast universe? Even a spark of light, no matter how pathetic, it is..... something.

It's coolguy!!!

7 AntwortenJust to counterbalance this point, I lead them into the dark room to skywatch and, while they're killing hive, I punch the servant of the hand and run like hell. I'm a monster.

I did the same thing yesterday!

Bearbeitet von Mi7iTiA: 1/9/2015 6:29:22 PMYesterday i saw a level 9 noob driving a pike on the moon..i was guessing to do the first moon mission since he opened his ghost in the moon tower..he got off his pike and I pulled a GTA 5 and rode off and Gjallahorned it..he started punching me but it didnt hurt so i tried to dance to make him feel better :)glad I could help him
-
That's awesome, I always gave the sword up right when I finished my bounties at skywatch, unless they stole the sword from me on purpose. Then they only get 1 hive kill, if that....
-
I did the same thing a couple weeks back, it actually was very cool. Even cooler that he waved afterwards. Just sad because the grind has outweighed this sort of experience for me.
-
Did the same for a Lvl 4 noob day after Xmas. Moth Yards......He was trying to kill Crota sword bearer and about to get destroyed Lol He was shooting for all he was worth....to not much effect....I shot Crota with my Suros and Swordbreaker and when the Sword popped I let him take it......The dude WENT CRAZY! LOL He started to "Gin su" EVERYTHING he saw! It was Awesome! Got a salute from him after.
