Very rarely do I have people to do these events. So I tend to solo all the time. It just takes patience. Even at 29 it is doable. Also you should be geared well by the time you hit 30 or higher, but even then while exotics make it a little easier you don't need them. You just need some weapons with different elements and types to suit your needs.

All I'm really missing are better primaries and a few more effect options in my secondary/heavy slots. Legendary weapons are plenty good enough, I just need a few more. In time.
