What's the best 331 attack damage Hand Cannon?
I've loved my TDYK thoroughly but now it's time to move on. The only problem is it's older brother, The Devil You Don't, is a peice of shit. Now I'm working towards a TFWPKY, but if there's any better legendary hand cannons out there it would be terrific if you let me know! Thank you!

I don't doubt your weapons rock and maybe you want to flaunt it a bit, but when you come to the forums to contribute to a question as to where someone can readily obtain a good option, try to guide them to purchasable ones.

The old 300 attack/72 impact hand cannons (Fatebringer, TDYK, LHF) deal 502/1505 body/crit damage to basic red-bar, non-Cabal enemies if you're equal to or greater than the level of your enemy (yes, this includes the 32s in CE). The new 72 impact hand cannons (The Chance, TFWPKY 1969) at 331 attack deal 575/1723 damage under the same conditions. Now, that's less than a 13% increase in damage. If you're buying them stock from a vendor, you're taking a hit in a number of areas compared to the old HCs, most notably range. The question you have to ask yourself is: is that less than 13% damage increase worth it? I did the crucible grind (which I despise) soon after the DLC hit to buy the new Chance with field scout, and maxed it shortly after. It has sat in my vault ever since. Meanwhile, my Fatebringer continues to be one of the only weapons I refuse to leave the tower without. I just got a TFWPKY 1969 from a blue (!!!) engram the other day with outlaw and send it. I'll use it, love it, max it, and then... Well, it'll probably end up sitting next to The Chance collecting dust while my Fatebringer, TDYK and LHF continue to kick ass on a daily basis.

Hawkmoon. 3 chances PER mag at dealing bonus damage is incredible. Add to it that it's damn near a one handed sniper, its beast of a gun.

I still use my fate bringer! With the arc damage and the perks i like it better then the new vanguard and crucible hand cannons! Try to get fatebringer it is still the best legendary hc in the game by far

I'm at a total loss right now. Although I do have thorn I really want a decent legendary hc for pve. I miss my high Lord fixer with send it and crowd control. Desperate for a random drop. I don't mind my rapier with firefly (great on the trash) but you get to knights or harder mobs and it sucks

Hawkmoon. I got an awesome devil you don't from nightfall. Kills return ammo right to the chamber, field scout (13 shots) and crowd control. It's a beast. I have it equipped on my 32 Hunter if you want to check it out.

I love thorn and it is great but it does take up an exotic slot, which is why I use new raid weapons

With firefly, explosive rounds and outlaw, arc burn and only a legendary it's the best hand cannon in the game to carry all day/every day, however it's still only a 300, but beats every 331 in the game. If you are lucky enough to get a TDYD with field scout bumping it from 5 rounds to 11 rounds in the mag then that's probably the second best hand cannon (legendary) in the game right now. W/o that field scout then it's not worth carrying, you'll be reloading it too often. TFWPKY 1969 it's a badass weapon even straight from the vendor. However if you can get that or TDYD (w/Field Scout) with the firefly perk and either outlaw or Who's Next? then you have one sick ass hand cannon! I'd buy the 1969 for now but i'd also run the Templar on VoG hard mode on every character each week for a Fatebringer drop and pray to RNGsus that you can get a TDYD (w/field scount) and/or 1969 with firefly.

Got a Red Hand IX right after the DLC and have murder everything in the game with it ever since. It has fast reload and explosive rounds and I LOVE IT!
