I have children and a standard 9-5 job, my time is important and the expansion reveals just how much Bungie doesn't understand that. For weeks I have been sacrificing 2 hours of precious sleep a night to level up my Guardian. Then when I go to raise my most prized pieces of gear all that effort gets pissed on. 1. I had to buy the upgrades, nothing dropped from the sky, no free reward. It wasn't a cool new drop that I now have to do my part to make it mine. No, I used my hard earned resources to purchase the upgrade. To increase the value of something I already worked hard for. 2. Instead of adding a few more slots to fill, all my previous work, to include rare resources and time, just vanished. I was so excited to get the new levels that it didn't dawn on me till I started grinding again. I was all "Hey.... didn't I do this already?" 3. It is even harder to do this now. The strike, nightfall, daily, and weekly difficulties have been raised for solo players. I live in Hawaii, am 40+, have very limited hours to play; it's not easy finding like minded people with the same schedule. I didn't know how angry and upset I was till my wife asked me why I wasn't playing Destiny anymore. I went from playing hours a night to only 2 nights in the last week. Bungie my efforts and time are valuable to me and you threw your indifference to that in my face. The only saving grace is that I have met really cool people who I used to enjoy playing with and I want to catch up with them. Remedy this situation or there will be one less guardian participating in, spreading the word of, and buying into Destiny.
