All and every game ever made could be argued to be meaningless in the grand scheme of things. It is a video game folks. When you piggy back on the bandwagon hype train of bitching about what could of been or should have been it is just a flat out joke. If you think the angry voices outweigh the fanboys (also known as everyone who disagrees) you are sadly confused and you do not understand how to measure such a thing. It is about fun by yourself or fun with friends on any game...something you do for FUN...if you are not having FUN on Destiny then it isn't for you. If there was 30% more content you wouldn't be crying about the next thing on your list? You expect me or anyone to believe that? Bungie said they would listen to the fans and they are not I have the best ideas wahhhhh! That is what you all sound like. If you are so unhappy with Destiny then quit, nobody will beg you to stay. Whatever game you switch to that is so amazing please do enjoy yourself. Oh wait, there isn't another game that is commanding such an audience out there...figured. You might want to man-up and change your views on the way you choose to analyze what videos games represent in your life and in society. They are a form of entertainment that you should enjoy as a recreational activity and I do not mean you should play them less. Even hardcore everyday players should view games as something you do for fun and to engage socially with your gaming buddies. If you are somehow expecting for a game to deliver more then that you are past help. The amount of people on the alligator tear express just cracks me up, and somehow since people upvote it means that your feelings are validated is nonsense...most people just choose to shake their head and move on. Normal people that enjoy themselves on this game are not vindictive so they don't downvote your post.

And im just going to round numbers here because im in my phone and am kind of lazy. 12 million people have played destiny at least once. The ones that stuck around played for almost 900million hours. Lets call it 890,000,000 to date!! If all those 12 million people still played destiny that would be roughly 75 hours a pop. Not the case. Lets half it! It would be around 149 hours per avg player. And even if its 3 Million players thats almost 300 hours per player. Because im pretty hardcore i suppose if you want to call it that. Ive spent i think 400 hours across all my characters. And thats only because im on e.i waiting for surgery. Im willing to bet that theres still anywhere from 3-6 million players. Could be even more after casuals are considered. And now the christmas noobs! Despite all the bad press, which is all related to lack of story. Which i like in a way. They arent setting much in stone. They are leaving everything open to interpretation, and in doing so are able to mold and create as vast a story as they need! When you start creating defining moments you creat a rock that can no longer be moved with out even more defining moments! This is the first dlc of the first game, which is unique on its own. And people are saying its shit, probably because of rng! So in the end i think bungie is creating something awesome that isnt dying! At least yet anyways! It will peak. But we have not seen that yet!

Who cares about ign and what others think. Critics are there to troll successful stuff. If i listened to critics for everything then id miss out on all the best movies. Same with games....

Some people decide to continue playing based on their own opinion, journalists have theirs. This game isn't perfect but there is nothing around at the moment I would prefer. Plus the game has huge potential and has original features like raids.

I posted this as a response to someone, but felt I took enough time that I could repost it here. I play destiny daily. I play because I'm monetarily invested until at least House of Wolves and because every other AAA title flopped. I have well over 300+ hours gameplay. I agree with this review 100%. [b]Story -[/b] Poorly written. I understand the concept of what they are trying to do by releasing chunks of the story bit by bit to extend over their 10 year plan. But this story is poorly written. I've seen better dialog in porn. [b]Gunplay -[/b] It's good, poorly balanced I think. But nothing revolutionary it's pretty much a copy/paste of other FPS [b]PvP-[/b] Maps are aweful, if you don't conform to the weapon "standards" your just hurting yourself. Supers clutter the gameplay and overshadow the gun game. [b]Raids -[/b] Buggy, feels like they skipped or skimmed through the development a bit. Mechanics are ment to be "hard" but there not. Only hard part is figuring it out the first time, which is true about other games but I've experienced mechanics that are still interesting even if you know what is going to happen [b]DLC -[/b] If you break it down. We got like 5 new rooms, handful of weapons, and a raid. [b]Customization -[/b] Still waiting for it to be added.

LOL, Bungie has made several times over the 500 million. Based on the revenue, I'd say they are doing better then alright!
