Crota's end Raid = near impossibility
I once again congratulate my clan INVigorate for clearing the new raid first in the world but i have to express my opinion on this after re-attempting with our lvl 31 hero
everything up to crota himself is doable with full 30's with work and concentration
crota himself? absurd:
-only 2-3 seconds once shield is down to even damage him with a 31 (32 i guess would make it acceptable in my opinion ) not enough time for mistakes at all must be a clean run with the sword carrier supering too
-crota sprints like a boss randomly -blam!-ing up the attempt to hit him
-Whatever shield he has it instantly regenerates to 100% in probably a single second or so if left unattacked
-enrage is game over. unlike VOG enrage where it just made it spawn more enemies and all that it just makes crota spam oversoul over and over til your'e all dead and it comes usually after 5 attack attempts in him
...yes im very mad, also wheres subbosses or anything that was in the trailer? most of it wasnt even in the raid
as of now i do not even know if someone else has even beaten it 2nd in the world.

Yes thats good. Raids aren't supposed to be easy, its supposed to be for the players who want a challenge. We already beat the game, the raid is a new enjoyment because you actually have to try in order to beat it. Plus u get new items :)

Just push crota off with grenades... Or have you been softening your razor edge with exploits so long that you can't beat stuff normally?

5 AntwortenWhy waste your time with things like clever game mechanics, smart AI, and good level design? Just add bullet sponge enemies that charge straight at you and hit like a freight train, and call it a day. Make sure to spam them nonstop too. VoG this isn't. At least the mood feels good.

11 AntwortenI can honestly see this raids damage scale being reduced in the near future. If you cant beat normal without a 31 ... hard is going to be impossible

You guys remember VOG? The normal difficulty started at 26 and yet, no one would take 26s. The theory applies in CE. It doesnt hurt to overlevel and come back to it.

14 AntwortenOne 31 is minimum. That means the best Destiny-Raid players in the world got by with using 5 30s and 1 31. Being that your clan is quite good at this raiding thing, I imagine they have their classes, subclasses, weapons, perks, supers, etc. all pre-planned with hours of brainstorming. How do you think the rest of us (not as good as them) are going to fair with 1 31, or no 31s? By the end of the week I will be running this raid with 5-6 31s and destroying Crota once and for all. Fight smarter (get 4-6 guys to 31) and not harder.

9 AntwortenI read somewhere that there is a mechanic that had not been figured out, apparently there is a gatekeeper that spawns somewhere. Not a sword bearer a gatekeeper the same kind that we have to kill on the bridge. I have seen him with my own eyes, I highly doubt bungie threw him in there just because. There is a reason for him being there and we have to experiment with him or wait till someone figures it out. The current strategy used while it can work its not the complete strategy. Anyone have any idea why that gatekeeper spawns?

20 AntwortenWe stopped last night and figured we'd all get up to 31 today before resuming, insane... Not sure why they are putting enemies higher than the level of the raid just doesn't make sense IMO.

2 AntwortenI like this raid sounds like you actually need to work together and use trial and error to defeat him not just stand with the relic shield on and shoot like in the VoG

Was doing crota last night and like the badass that he is he strolls over to us in the room you start in to summon him we are all over at the left door killing adds and he smashed me and my entire team with his giant sword needless to say we all died lol was actually kinda funny.
