Atheon's Epilogue vs Fatebringer
Which do you guys think is better for doing the raid?
What is it better at?
Currently deciding on what gun to use on the raid.
Edit:I don't have the VoC yet.

Fatebringer is so much fun. Spolsions everywhere! But practically, I still feel like VoC coupled with Praetorians foil is the best weapon pairing for nearly any scenario but particularly for beating Atheon.

Primary Atheons Epilogue Special Icebreaker Heavy Hezen vengeance works great on praetorians Take out shield with AE then pull out Special or Heavy to finish it off Hezen Vengeance is also a great mob killer for being clustered specially in Conflux before Oracles

For Atheon on Hard I use: -EP -Purifier VII (or other fusion rifle with high impact) -Corrective Measure or thunderlord A fusion rifle for Oracle because 2 shot kill And Corrective Measure for Oracle and Atheon = rip atheon and oracle apart My team does always do Atheon on Hard in 2 runs :)

It rips vex in half! Never have a problem completing the raid or running out of ammo with it. I also am one of the guys in my squad that gets the most kills. It just depends on your play style. But Epilogue has Void damage and everything in the raid that has a shield, has a void shield..

2 AntwortenFatebringer is an amazing VoG weapon. One critical shot downs enemies, two on hard. Haven't used it to destroy Oracles yet, as I use my Found Verdict for that.

it seems you can break thru the bubble faster with the epi, though fate feels awesome, lots of trigger pulls to deal with mobs.

Fatebringer is one of the best handcannons in the game- even better because it is legendary (meaning you can have another exotic weapon) and because it deals arc damage- but on the other hand, Atheon's epilogue deals void damage. I would say that whenever praetorians/minotaurs are giving your fireteam a hard time, equip the epilogue: otherwise, stick to Fatebringer. Wish I had it but I have not done the raid on hard yet, kinda split my materials too much between my 3 characters (and I still don't have a strong exotic for my Warlock). Planning on raising my Titan to 29 ASAP so I can start getting hard mode runs in for stuff like Fatebringer or Mythoclast.

I have both maxed and I bring both with me to raid. Fatebringer is the better choice for wiping out the mobs that you face during the majority of the raid. In the normal raid you can 1 shot all the goblins and harpies. Takes 2 shots in the hard raid but the fire rate means it's not that much of a disadvantage. However during the atheon fight I switch to my epilogue because the field scout perk makes it easier to take out oracles when teleported and the reload is faster for that part too.

6 AntwortenConflux- fatebringer Oracles- VoC Templar- who cares Gatekeeper- fatebringer if I'm staying out VoC if I'm going in Atheon- VoC I love auto rifles but I personally don't like epilogue that much. Voc is better at taking down supplicants from a distance. Full auto means I can burn my ice breaker into atheon and then half a clip of VoC (mostly crit) before we have to jump back out. The spread pattern is just to big when using epilogue for it to be the best weapon to use I think.

The two level 30s who beat the entire raid on hard used Fatebringer the whole way through.

Please don't use explosive round perk on Fatebringer. It weakens the gun and spreads some of the initial point damage over an area. Yes, it 1 hits red health goblins.

AE is handy in the beginning to deal with those praetorians and their shield. After that fate bringer until the gate keeper section where VOC dominates.

In normal mode, you can use any weapons--maxed out or not. Don't use atheon, it is too inaccurate in long range ( you will have trouble shooting, gatekeeper, templar, atheon, while defending the confluxes..etc) and fatebringer because you can only carry up to 80 bullets. You will find yourself constantly looking for ammo. I had one guy using his none-upgraded shadow price in normal mode, and he only died 3 times--not because he failed to shoot an enemy or anything , he just got blown up my the suplicants and accidentally stepped in to "ebola."

The only flaw with fatebringer is when you get to Atheon which is when I switch to epilogue. Fatebringer goes through ammo to easy for my liking at this point and epilogue tears through oracles with ease

Ever since I got VoC Atheon's Epilogue has been collecting dust in the vault (coming out for Voidburn on occasion). Once I get Fatebringer it will most likely kick VoC to the curb as I am a Hand Cannon aficionado.

4 AntwortenVoc for all but atheon. For Atheon you use Atheons epilogue and when attacking him directly patience and time and corrective measure/galjahorn/icebreaker also works iv been told but because I still don't have It I can't be sure which is better
