Recently in Destiny, and in gaming as a whole, I have notice an increase of less than desirable behavior in online matchmaking. Tea bagging, dancing, and other forms of harassment (yes, it is considered harassment) has been occurring more recently in gaming. I for one am disgusted by this behavior.
I see it most in Halo, but destiny is a close second. You get a kill and feel the need to celebrate or bag the enemy corpse. Well to you sir I say a big -blam!- you. Why am I so strong. Towards this? Eight years in the military has shown me what true war and rules of engagement are. Now I'm not comparing these games to actual war. Obviously dancing on a killed insurgent is beyond looked down upon, and gaming is just virtual, but it is the behavior and mindset I cannot stand.
By going forth with these actions you are saying "I am of a higher status than you because I beat you in this specific match up." You are saying you are above another person. It is not okay. You are saying "I need a small ego boost for my already low self esteem because I don't feel good enough about myself." People play these games to have fun with friendly competition. By acting hostile, you are directly ruining the gaming community. And over what? It's a -blam!-ing game for Christs sake? Do you think anyone gives a shit that you went on a 20 kill streak in destiny? Or just completely out shot someone? No! No one gives a flying -blam!-. So why are you degrading the other person? Maybe they are brand new to the game or don't have the time or resources to play as much as you.
So as I close this I ask you to reevaluate how you play. If you aren't one of those people and are like me to just have a good time then good for you. Keep it up. It's a game. But if you are a tea bagger or dancer or trash talker, I suggest you change. Because those habits carry on to the real world. And the real world is MUCH less forgiving than a stupid game. Rethink the way you play. Respect the players.

Sorry, but I have been, I am, and forever will be.. that guy.
-
I find this amusing.
-
They're called celebratory squats. How could you be so offensive...
-
You need sex. Calm down, junior.
-
if the avatar is female rather than male, is crouching up and down over a body considered face sitting ?
-
I tea bag to get them riled up. I think it's great when the person I just tea bagged four times comes back and tea bags me. It makes me proud of them. Like, finally you got me you poor son of a b**ch.
-
360 or ONE ? Either way, I will find you, and i will T-bag you
-
2 AntwortenSo are all military people this stupid?

1 AntwortenThis has ARMY written all over it.

1 AntwortenWoah, just relax, dude. If someone dances while they got the better of me then so be it, it's a game, have a little fun. It's not as if they're celebrating your actual demise, it's a video game and it's for entertainment.
-
There have been times in pvp when me and a specific player have been at each other the whole match, if they ever get a particularly impressive kill on me and proceed to t-bag, I'll just sit there like "you know what.... You earned it!" Lol
-
You must have never played sports... it's called shit talking. And it's one of the only ways to do so in destiny.
-
This is a joke right

Do I care? Nope. Games are games

Now, I'm not comparing video games to actual war, but let me go ahead and compare video games to actual war. I'm just gonna keep on bagging. Unless my opponent can here my as they respawn. Then I'll bag and tell them about how much better I am at the game.

1 AntwortenI find it reassuring to know that I'm so good the player who kills me must instantly celebrate their survival

Bearbeitet von Mu Nova: 11/15/2014 9:56:59 AMI haven't been PvPing as much as I mean to, but when I do, I usually do no such thing. I really only ever teabag when I really shouldn't have won, when I clearly outplayed them, or when they teabagged first. I usually don't dance, but the same rules apply. Unless I'm standing in a Ward of Dawn... sometimes.

If I ever meet you in the crucible I am literally going to drop my shiny golden testes into your dead mouth.

So, what you're saying, is that if I shoot someone in the head and then t bag them in destiny, I will likely go outside, shoot my neighbor, and t bag him until the cops show up? Its an online game, and no one gives a shit how getting t bagged makes you feel
-
How is it harassment. It's not a real person.
-
I don't dance or tea bag but I do like to empty my clips in there corpses.
-
I do it occasionally so people like you get butthurt. It's hilarious to me when people take a video game so seriously hahaha
-
It's a game ffs. If I kill someone who is playing like a bitch. They get tea bagged/danced on. It's funny and it -blam!-s with them so they play worse. Tactics baby

Can't wait to kill and t-bag u
