An Unintended Guardian Mutation is occurring due to the need to upgrade through farming; mutating some Guardians into Farming Thugs; picking on, attacking fellow farming Guardians…
Sad to say, recently on Patrol Farming Missions…we have encountered more and more ‘groups’ of Guardians who have lost their way in their selfish attempt to claim the farming map for themselves by literally hunting down fellow farming Guardians (shooting, grenading and in some cases; keeping the attacked Guardian from being able to respawn; at which the only recourse is to leave the game)
There are Guardians who by nature understand the concept of what a Guardian should be. I have played with some of the most honorable & Legendary Guardians within Destiny. Those that inspire-mentor the Guardian Community to truly become and understand the Legendary Status & Responsibility of the Ultimate Guardian! Unknown Guardians that have guided us to loot, helped us in battle when we were overwhelmed by the Dark Forces, those that wave-dance invoking friendship & comradery on and off the battlefield…
Suggestion to Bungie-Destiny To Stop Farming Thugs…
Legendary Guardians who show their excellence within the game through Player Support, Comradery, etc to all Guardians outside of the Crucible arena
should be rewarded/supported by the game (especially within Patrol Farming Missions)
In order to make Legendary Status, farming events, etc. should have a bonus light system honoring those Guardians who mentor fellow Guardians to a path of cooperative playing instead of mutating Guardians into Farming Thugs.
Guardians are meant to push back the Dark Forces to allow for more Light!
Maybe an option when finding Loot to “Reward a Guardian by allowing a pay-it-forward gifting of loot to a worthy fellow Guardian with a message to the receiving Guardian notifying them of the gift. After so many pay-it-forward gifts the Guardian is granted a Legendary Engram, thus promoting a more positive playing experience, producing less Farming Thugs and mentoring the true Legendary Guardian Spirit of cooperative play.
Please share your ideas on this concept inspiring the Developers with positive concepts to make Destiny a ‘Thug-less’ game that can be enjoyed by all lovers of the Destiny gaming experience; be it children, teens or adults!

There's nothing wrong with farming. I just wish some people would pay attention to their surroundings. If there's already people doing a run then join up with them. All your doing if you don't is messing up the chest and material spawns. You'll get less material per min.

1 AntwortenHow do they keep you from respawning? I'm not even sure that's possible

Idiots farming in a loot cave in ol Russia still after destiny tryied to do things so that people don't have to loot cave but I see it all the time ,there not there to collect materials but there to collect engrams or so they hope , I hope bungie shuts this garbage down. loot caves demine the game people tryin to get engrams the easy way , earn them damnit, anyone I see loot caving it I report imeadiently. I get people needing materials nd that's cool, but if you want engrams go play the tiger strikes there all the time. sick of people looking for a easy way out

3 AntwortenI haven’t run into any thugs while farming. If I see other players doing a chest and material loop run, I will join them so we can share and not get in each other’s way.

1 AntwortenYou are WAY to wrapped up in this game. Come back to the real world

1 AntwortenWhat servers are you connecting to? I don't think I've nor my friends have run into an issue like that. Even during chest runs, if we encounter anyone, we usually attempt to get their attention and show them to the chest. After that, we just start "pointing" when we find one. And then those that want it will gather and we'll wait. Then someone'll jump and that's the cue foe the chest to be opened. No point in being a douche when you really aren't getting anything extra by keeping nearby players away from the chest.

If I'm in a spot farming first and you come in trying to take over. I reserve the right to to sit in the spawn spot until the antagonist leaves.
go to a different server if someone is already farming your spot.
27 AntwortenThey are called farming police and I am one of them. Farming is an exploit and I report all who do it.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Sir Jecht: 10/31/2014 2:17:21 AMhow do u prevent people from spawning? Edit. The most I do is sit in loot caves and discourage people. They get on my nerves when I need a bounty for yellow enemies

Would love to see this. That would make the difference in patrols. Was thinking of a way to vote good or bad, but too many ppl would vote bad for fun. Create a guardian rank, fellow guardians can add to it only. Rewards received in tower. Sounds awesome to me.

Proud to call myself a farming thug, my favorite method is to wait till they pull out a rocket launcher then time my bubble just right so they kill themselves and give them a well deserved teabag... Now then, shut up meg

There's a very work-around for this. When you get the grief, take your entire fireteam and go to the next area; usually about 1/2 way there is enough. When you go back to your farm spot, it'll be a new instance possibly lacking in griefers.

Whenever I see someone farming I like to follow them and watch them to see what they do so I can compare it to my methods. I've discovered a couple new chest runs this way. The person I'm following is not always happy though. I don't do anything to impede I just uncover their secrets XD bwhahahahaha

PvE griefers? That's awesome! Guess some people are pissed.

3 AntwortenIt is possible to make it so you can run chests and materials with absolutely nobody to interfere with you.
-
They really just need more enemies everywhere...but then people would bitch about "loot caves" and such....
-
There's a part of what you say that makes no sense. Guardians can't directly damage each other with weapons or melee, so I don't get what you're saying about not being able to respawn etc. If some "thugs" are farming I just farm with them, ignoring their grenades and melee. Or I'll dance while they're trying to blow me up... that usually irritates them enough to just stop.

21 AntwortenIf you're farming and I'm shooting you...
it's because I found a chest and I wanna get your attention so we can share the sweet sweet loot. ;-)
16 AntwortenNothing better than the people that see you waiting for the 3 Hive majors to spawn on earth and sit in the room to make you leave so they can get the kills.
-
How do they prevent people from respawning? Just curious.
-
I don't know if this post was meant to be funny or not, but there are dickwads out there bullying you for doing the damn patrol missions and messing up the "new" loot cave's spawn. I'm sure someone here knows which place in cosmodrome I'm talking about. Luckily there's the dancing.
-
16 AntwortenActually how do you keep them from spawning? I HATE when you idiots ruin my farming runs. I can easily get 100 pieces within 20-30 min if I'm alone in my area. HOW ABOUT LEAVE THEM ALONE, if you enter an area someone is already farming LEAVE. Unless they inv you to join them. We need a play list with no one else on it.

Bearbeitet von Mercerbrik: 10/30/2014 8:34:15 PMI only had one experience when a couple of guardian pair chased and attacked me and of course I returned the favor even if you won't take damage. Bad Seed Down is a girl's best friend. But that was alright, I got the message and makes for unpredictable gameplay which always is better than the mundane and the expected. Another time a warlock surprised me and threw a knife at him which stuck to his hand cannon, nice block guardian. I don't think we need a farming POLICE. If they want to play like that, who's stopping them? Let them play the way they see fit. When I see someone in the area, I'd go the other way, no problem. A lot hate the grinding but I actually like doing loots, bounties and leveling the darkness. I'll call other's attention when I find a loot and wait for them before I open the chest and don't expect everyone to do the same. I do like it when a friend joins me and makes it so much fun to do these chores and often times learn new spots where I did not know chest or material existed. I've been getting a lot of strange coins, motes of light and legendary items - some not for my character. There's also this gentleman guardian that I think my Hunter has a crush on....

1 AntwortenAttacking other players is pointless, though annoying because they CAN damage your Sparrow apparently.
